New Toothbrush or replace battery?

My Braun Oral-B Triumph was only lasting 2 or 3 days between charges and a new one would have cost about £160 so it was worth trying to replace the battery. It turned out to be fairly straightforward (with a bit of de-soldering and re-soldering). Now it as good as new in terms of uses after re-charging. Effectively I've saved myself over £150. This, combined with using genuine brush-heads instead of the counterfeit ones I didn't realise I was using, makes the process far more effective.Read full review...

Be bold replace it

A feeble toothbrush battery can be replaced using little more than a standard soldering iron, solder, wire cutters and sticky tape to hold the bits to the desk. See (others) youtube videos for details - worked great for me - now I can smile with confidence! Great wee battery.Read full review...

So far so good

Only installed today after working out how to strip the toothbrush and soldering in. The battery was absolutely flat when fitted but has been on charge and is showing full now and appears to work ok. Time will tell if it lasts ant loner than the old battery. Remember to pull out the sealing ring around the toothbrush top before trying to pull the toothbrush innards out. There are some good U-tube videos showing how to do thisRead full review...

Now like new again

Replacing the tired battery in my Braun Oral B toothbrush made it like new again, however it's a bit fiddly if you're not used to using a soldering iron (definitely required) and a "solder sucker" or "solder removal tape". There are several really good videos on YouTube describing how to do it and unless you've changed one before it's invaluable.

Possibly the suppliers could put a link to a few YouTube videos to help :)

Saved my a fortune

Took longer to find my soldering iron and for it to warm to temperature. Unsoldered the old battery from my expensive toothbrush and soldered the new one in minutes. Good as new.

Good replacement battery for Braun Triumph

Fitted new battery and the charge lasted a week before it needed another charge, much better than the single use the previous battery had when it had to be charged after it had been used only once and immediately went flat. Watch this space......Read full review...

Works as a battery should!

My Oral-b toothbrush was dying and had to be charged every day, no way was I going to spend £80 on another so I decided to replace the battery.

A quick look online for instructions, dismantled the toothbrush, made sure I got the correct battery to replace, it was this one. Ordered, and it arrived in a couple of days, un-soldered the old battery and soldered this one in its place. Put the toothbrush back together, works a treat!Read full review...
