I have this unit (Extra Heavy) as well as the Heavy and Medium tension units. Those two units were too light for me as a full hand exerciser but the Heavy would work exercising individual fingers. FYI - I do not have particularly strong hands.

Get a grip!
The pro series is a bit sturdier than the regular Gripmaster. The finger pads allow for a better transfer of power. This is my 3rd unit and is the best so far.
