Nice little all rounder

Compact and good value , with slight reservations

Bought mainly for paperless geocaching. Compact and easy to use, though display can be a little dim. Increasing the screen brightness drains the batteries significantly quicker. Generally pleased with the product; however, I have been unable to find a way of viewing text comments I have entered after finding a cache without downloading them to a PC. Very easy to use.

This is a step up from my E-Trex H which I wanted so I can do paperless Geocaching. I read on a review (on Amazon) that I wouldn't need the Dakota 20 & that was right as 2000 caches is way more than I will ever do in one holiday! The unit is the perfect size for my hand making it easy to carry. It couldn't be easier to download things to it. I bought mine a Garmin rubber case for £4.50 which fits perfectly to keep it safe if I drop it.Read full review...

The world base map is useless. When I bought a UK map and tried to download it onto the device, there is not enough memory on it. The map is wasted.

Perfect!

For me it is perfect, it is what I was looking for!Really useful. I recommend this product. I use it for mountain biking uploading the routes to the GPS and it works perfectly!

Straight forward bit of kit, just what I needed

The Garmin Dakota 10 is intuitive and easy to get used to. The menu is straight forward and simple to find your way around. It's a robust bit of kit, but I bought a silicone protective cover just for additional safety. Garmin Dakota 10 GPS Receiver

It's a really good GPS for geocaching and to use in extreme conditions.Also the colour screen is a really good feature to see what your pressing and same for it if it is in the sun.
