Good for the prive

We are traveling Midwest, and without this unit we would be lost, no phone signal in many areas.
It gives precise location but I wish I’d have spent more for a larger and more detailed map.

Will not search data bases on a topo map installed on a micro sd card.

Works great as a stand alone GPS unit using Garmin city street maps. Will not search topo map databases on software located on micro sd card. Will display topo map only and not search across databases. For example, cannot search for features on a topo map such as livestock tanks closest to a Dairy Queen. Great buy for the money

I've received the unit, and for the price it's a great value. I had to buy different mount as it did not fit the mount I had for the old one, but his works well.

Great GPS for the money.

My 7 year old Garmin Nuvi 1300 served me well but the touch screen had lost some sensitivity. The newer 2495LMT has a better display, faster response and is a pleasure to use.

Very difficult to operate

Very difficult to operate. Manual tells just the basics. I've had to call Garmin tech support repeatedly to find out how to do simple things that weren't addressed in the manual. I had a Garmin Nuvi 50 LM, and it was terrific. This model is not worth taking home.Read full review...

Good name, not so good a product.

The battery was old and it never did take a charge. Did not like how the local street names were NOT used. So the road would say Rt 235 or what ever. But the street name sign would say Bells Rd. It was confussing. It was not as informitive as my old cheaper model that died. Read full review...

Good GPS

Would be nice to have the instructions, but, can figure it out. I think it does much more than I know how to use, however. Very cool GPS, like it a lot and it is also voice activated!
