This worked great once I found the instructions on YouTube. The garage opener motor box has a black button with a red LED near where the wire antenna extends (different models have it in different places, but if you don't see it, look under the light shade - or just follow the wire antenna, it will be close). My vehicle's built-in opener was also programmable using a combination of motor box button hits and in-vehicle button holds, not at all what the vehicle manual said to do.
