Technical tip if the new filter end cap doesn't fit

If you find that the end cap of your new paper cabin filter does not marry up with the lower retaining tabs in your particular model of Falcon, no problem. (Why Ford varied the pattetn in some FG Falcons is a mystery!)

Solution: Use a hacksaw or similar to carefully cut off the end cap of the standard el cheapo mesh filter.

Of course, you won't be able to use that mesh filter again but no big deal as the paper filter is much mpre effective in keeping out not only pollen but dust, smells and fumes. Just chuck it an move on.

Pollen filter, poor replacement.

Filter was different to the one in my 2012 FG MK2 XR6.
The filter fitted in, but the securing plate provided did not have the correct number of locking tabs. Ended up removing filter, cleaned my old one and refitted. wasted my money.Read full review...
