Great Afternoon and Rainy day Matinee

Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby are Good cop, Worst but slowly maturing young Cop, but together they're dynamite.Set in England in the early to late 60"s it show cases England's beautiful countryside and old cars.
Gently is a cop with a conscience and has Father's heart for justice for the victim and oppressed. Bacchus is of the same heart but uses his fists and mouth where wisdom and patience should prevail.
There is great 60's music score that lends to the mood of each episode.The colloquial English "Geezer,Git and Ow's ya Father, Twat etc are used with subdued measure.
Great storylines encompass a wide range of Murders committed by the rich to the poor. But follow a very plausible and in depth story that is easy to follow and hard at times to pick whodunnit.Clever writing really draws you into the shoes and mindset of the story.
Martin Shaw is at his best acting and is greatly supported by Lee Ingleby as the cocky upstart Sergeant. This is a great original series that is well worth having in your Blueray/DVD library.Read full review...
