Value and Performance

I purchase this unit for it to be the core of a backup supply to run emergency essentials : LED standard lamp, LED TV, LPG heater electronics and fan, laptop on power supply, ADSL modem, phone charger, torch charger, clock-radio. It runs these items effortlessly drawing 15.8 amps on a 120Ah LiFePO battery (idle current is 1.04 amps).
With the unit mounted to obtain good ventilation the thermal efficiency of the chassis design is such that cooling is not totally reliant upon operation of the single intelligent fan (it operates infrequently). The unit remains only warm to the touch while running the above loads.
Time alone will tell how the unit will last, but the performance shown so far indicates that it is not stressed and will likely return a long life.

Highly recommended product.

I have used many inverter products to date and nearly all have been short lived and not very well made. The Giandel inverter has been a nice surprise insofar as it is really well made with a fiberglass double sided circuit board and neatly wound inductors. Certainly a cut above most others. Works a treat. Overload clicked in when i tested it with a hair dryer and set it to high 1200W. Runs on low heat fine @ 800W. Runs a 750W angle grinder perfectly. Beaut
