Special Gift for Longtime Girlfriend

I bought this as a special gift for my longtime GF; we have been friends since 1964, and are both turning 60 this August. I had just introduced her to Susan Branch because I had framed a calendar page from her "Heart of the Home" calendar on my wall, which she admired.

All Susan Branch books are little works of art, with beautifully illustrated watercolors and titles; they are replete with recipes, photographs, brief sketches, and sprinkled with interesting quotes, all done in her unique calligraphic style. This one has a story about the author and her friend sneaking into the Beatles' hotel in the early '60s. My friend idolizes George Harrison to this day, so this added a special touch for her. Needless to say, I have my own copy.

They are delightful and very relaxing to read over and over. I was happy to get this book at this price as a special gift for my longtime friend. She was thrilled with it. Like all Susan Branch books, this one would make a sweet gift from one girlfriend to another at any age, but especially to those who now have decades of friendship to reflect upon.Read full review...
