LOVE this product!!

I use it for my Airbnb in a different city and I can control the thermostat from my phone. It was so very easy to install. Be sure and research how to install and if it is compatible with your current system (on Nest website or You Tube). Had an old 7-day programmable thermostat that used batteries and was a pain to program. I also hated the look of it anyways. I like the style & design of the nest and its features. I hooked it up myself in 15 minutes and the set up was easy for me. It is running like a charm and hoping in the long run to save a few dollars by being more efficient in using my heating & cooling system. Not cheap but very high quality!

This is my second nest thermostat. The key is to make sure it is compatible with your system before purchasing. However even my 20 year old boiler seemed to past their very simple online test. Everything about this device including the setup software was well done. And once it is configured you can forget about it. for me, the remote feature is more for a sense of security in the event you are away for a long period of time and the forecast temps are going to be lower than I am comfortable with. Anything that’s going to be helpful in my future and $$$$ I’m all for it, it seems to be working GREAT and I like that if I should leave out before setting it to go ON/OFF then I can make adjustments from afar on my cell or tablet, I’m lovin my Nest now that the temperatures are making me utilize it, I jus need to learn how to make it change according to the house temp but or time of day in the home but I LOVE IT!!!Oh and I can’t forget to mention that I love that it lights up at the motion near it so u don’t necessarily have to touch it in order for it to light up it’s got a motion detector sensor in it. Nest 3rd Gen Thermostat

The device is really good and very easy to use. Overall a great device. The installation and setup and usage directions are not very clear or straight forward. If you have installed and or used the device you will easily fill in the blanks where the directions lack information. I believe the device is some what high for for what you get, It is a good device but $250 for this is too high. $199 or lower is a more realistic pricing. Great Adapter Plate When You Have A Pre-Existing Wall Plate.

I have a Nest E and eventually want to mount it without the trim plate. However, I currently have a pre-existing single gang through plate in the wall and the mounting holes for the Nest don't line up. This was a perfect product to mount to the wall plate, and the hole pattern was perfect for the Nest. The only complaint is I have to use the trim plate to hide this thing and for some reason the trim plate's hole pattern was barely too tight for this, and I had to widen it a little bit by running a drill bit along the edges.
