Much better the others in the RockStar Franchise

Love that the player(s) can swim in this one, the helicopters are more realistic as far as flight mechanics, the low point, they have not added an "real" airplane that can fly correctly, yeah there was one in the older game but it was just a slow (almost stalling) seaplane, it would be nice to have a JET!
The game is also a bit predictable and is pretty much the same as all the others as far as missions. The new side missions make it a bit more enjoyable, but you can not buy the properties as in the "Miami-type" based games, that is another turn-off.
The cell phone and girlfriends are a nice touch, but since it is an adult game, you should be able to "go a bit further" with the dates, etc... ;-)
Overall a great game, but I let my 10 year old play while I watch and he beat it in 2 days! So it needs a bit more of a challenge.Read full review...

Great game awesome package

Anyone who cares about the story of GTA has themselves pretty delusional, and the missions are clearly just endless lists of tasks to do, but what resides within the game, a living breathing city is where the gem is to be found. Limitless fun can be had just plowing around town in a stolen car. Sometimes I try to drive like a normal civilian just to see what craziness I'll see along the way. Rockstar really nailed down the person to person interactions and you can see it in the lifelike reaction animations everyone has. Couldn't ask for a better box.

It arrived today instead of Tuesday and the only thing I didn't expect was all the bubble wrap inside the box. The game disk has a circle scratch but that's besides the point. Everything else it came with was inside and I couldn't be more happy with what I payed for it.Read full review...

Grand Theft Auto IV

Jump in a car - any car, toss out the driver and go explore the city, anywhere, anytime, at your leisure.Now, the game is much more polished. The graphics are much more realistic, completely state-of-the-art, as is a new "physics" model in game. The way characters move and react now is much more fluid and realistic. Great Graphics, great game play, great sound effects and music. While the game has grown up with substantially better physics, graphics and combat, there are some wonderfully familiar GTA touches left in. One, thankfully, is the cars. There's a new movement program in the making this game great. If you get hit by a car, you'll react differently each time as the reaction has been made to completely mirror human movement. Get hit in the knee, or the head, or the shoulder, and you'll react differently to differently each.

They're still rough to drive, and too many collisions will set you on fire and will ultimately explode them. Some of the cool moment is just walking around the city. The game is very violent and promotes hookers and dealers and cop killing, however that is nothing new to most players of the Grand Theft seris. Grand Theft Auto IV is completely astounding and is not recommend for children under 18. Liberty City and its citizens really are the stars of this game though. It looks, and reacts, amazingly real. If you just sppok a random stranger on the street, some people will drop their belongings and run away, others will come to their aid and even challenge you physically. This is where you can either fight for no reason, and bring the police out to look for you, or back down and move on.It's an adult game with strong sexual content which requires having sexs with hookers to get your energy back once you are hurt.The graphics are are among some of the best as this game really show off what the PS3 can really do.The sound effect are good too a lot are recycled from old game.This game can even be played on line with head on head action against other players.Make no mistake, this is a violent game. It is about organized crime and completing underhanded and illegal missions. This is a must have

Nostalgia!!

GTA IV is a masterpiece of a game. Being able to find a sealed Special Edition copy of it for Xbox is dope as the Xbox does backwards compatibility

GTA IV Special Edition For Xbox 360 is Awesome!!!!!!!!!

Multiplay could be better as I am addicted to COD4 which in my opinion is the best online multiplayer game out yet, however Grand Theft Auto solo game could not be better. This game surpasses it's previous versions by far. The Special Edition is awesome with a cool safe deposit box, duffle bag, exclusive music cd and book with art work and creation details. This game also comes with a free month of xbox live on an exclusive GTA4 card, it's awsome. Overall the GTA4 Special Edition is definitely worth checking out to purchase; I certainly don't regret buying it. Rockstar Launches Greatest GTA yet

From the moment the player begins the game you get the feeling that this is something special. Grand Theft Auto has always been a good series, with games that are addictive and entertaining, however Rockstar hasn't made one quite like GTA IV.
From the start the story swallows you, playing like a movie, might I add a fantastic movie, and the suspense and story compells you to continue.
You begin the game as Niko Bellic, a man fresh off the boat ready to find opportunity within America. Of course things cannot be that simple. Niko's cousin Roman has done nothing but gush about America ever since he arrived, and when Niko makes the trip he soon realizes these were all exaggerations of the American Dream.
Roman is in debt and running from hired guns, and soon he pulls Niko down with him. Having much experience with these kinds of situations, Niko soon rises to the top of Libery City.Read full review...

Fun game! definately worth it!

The Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition game set makes for the perfect gift. The duffel bag and tin collectors box it comes in really looks cool. The Rockstar games key chain looks great to. The Soundtrack CD is just as good, has some good tracks!

The actual game is so much fun. Going through the missions makes for a lot of fun game play. Definiately the best GTA out yet. The gameplay looks much better in terms of graphics, and it is much better in terms of fun and how challenging it is (altho the game really is not too hard at any point) Definiately lives up to its M rating though. So beware if you have younger children who want this game - it does get pretty violent during gameplay.

I'd rate the game play 9/10
I'd rate the collectors items it comes with 9/10 too.
Definately worth buying the special edition over the regular game if your a big fan of GTA.Read full review...

As a Mother

I have to put excellent, because my husband and sons and ALL their friends told me to. I on the other hand, have a HEADACHE!!! If you are like me, buy this for your boys and discover long baths with opera playing on the I Pod that I also bought for "the boys" through Ebay! Please be warned, you will be bonbarded with shouting, swearing, slamming etc. and that's not even the game. Be prepared for MAJOR swearing and violence from the game. But I suppose that is what makes it "SO AWESOME" from the meat eaters of my family. :-)Read full review...
