I enjoyed the game for a few hours and then I got tired of the songs. Wasn't my favorite but it was cheap and would be good for aerosmith fans

"Guitar Hero - Aerosmith" is a great game for the whole family to enjoy. It's simplistically based color coded touch activated controls are fantastically arranged and it's a really fun game for people just learning to play. While Aerosmith is the main band scheme, it also favors several bands of the same genre. Bands that Aerosmith has inspired, and even the bands that inspired Aerosmith!!!

I rated the game 4/5 stars due to it's lack of music selection. While it does have several choices from the bands greatest hits/and some award winning songs, it doesn't differentiate from the regular narrow view of the "Guitar Hero" accesories. If you wish to use a "Rock Band 2" guitar you are out of luck. This game is NOT RockBand accesory ready. BE ADVISED! Look at the instruments availability before purchasing these games!! ACTIVISION keeps a tight grip on which products are released to use with these games! HEY, for $12 you can't beat it!!!Do not overpay, it's really not worth more than $12!!!!!

Good for adults and kids

I like this addition to the guitar hero series, I have fun playing it as much as my 8 year old does. It's challenging and entertaining and learning facts about the band is also nice. I didn't give it excellent because the steven tyler and joe perry charicatures look totally creepy, it's a tad distracting for me, but then again, the other male lead singer doesn't look any better. I just wish they could look more realistic, I don't even think it looks that much like steven tyler. The red thing that's supposed to be DMC's tongue is disturbing, but other than that the music is good and I enjoy it. You won't regret buying this game.Read full review...

Weird Complaints bc you don't know early songs?

Just because you don't know old Aerosmith songs does not mean that this is not a good game. Maybe you should listen to early Aerosmith songs and then decide whether the songs that Aerosmith - an R&B based rock and roll band - so what if they did covers of old songs? Maybe you should get an education in the history of Aerosmith's music before you start complaining like a baby that early Aerosmith tunes are not good music. Yes I wish that there were a lot more of Aerosmith songs versus cover songs - but if they are good songs - who cares? Aerosmith should re-release Guitar Hero with ALL of the songs on "Pandora's Box" - that is a GREAT compilation album. Educate yourself in music history young ones - I still cannot believe that contestants on American Idol actually said that THEY NEVER HEARD A BEATLES SONG! And you call yourselves musicians?? UNREAL!! If you want to be a good musician you need to draw from the past and learn from it. You are NOT INVENTING MUSIC - YOU SHOULD BE INSPIRED BY IT - AND THEN PUT YOUR OWN TWIST ON IT CREATIVELY! Don't think that Celine Dion created or wrote "All by Myself" - even retard Ryan Seacrest called it a Celine Dion song when it was written in the 1970s by Eric Carmen of the Rasberries. So many artists cover songs that were previously recorded. Just do not give Celine Dion credit for a song she did not write - did she ever write a song? And this is relevant because Steven Tyler is a judge on American Idol - who pointed out that a country song by some blonde chic was not her song but actually a Patsy Cline song. It's ALRIGHT.. But it's not SWEET!

Alright, to get us off on the right foot here, Aerosmith is awesome. But, with this game, you'd think it would have TONS of Aerosmith songs? Well, I was one of those people too. You get one Aerosmith song per gig, and we all know that they could've had that whole game to themselves!

ANYWAY... It's guitar hero, what can I say, guitar hero is awesome too. And there are no complaints for the game itself. Other than it's not packed full of Aerosmith, of course!

I would Also Highly recommend getting guitar hero Aerosmith BEFORE Legends of Rock, simply because it's easier. :)Read full review...

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Game & Guitar Bundle)

My son loves the game how-ever unlike the other guitar hero, you have very few song choices before unlocking them. He was kind of bummed because the first songs that are available to play are older ones he didn't recognize.
Other than that if you can get the hang of it (by unlocking songs) it offers a great playlist. One more note the guitar is a bit smaller as well.Read full review...

A game I don't hate playing with the kids

I hate playing the sports and carnival type Wii games with my kids so I decided to dip a toe in the Guitar Hero pool. We're addicted. It was easy enough for my five, seven and nine year old child to pick up, and I enjoy it too. The best part is they genuinely enjoy watching each other play. Good Stuff.

I like that it's the awesome guitar hero game I was asking for...it came in a great case and it looks great. It's funny though, because it plays just fine, like the images and everything...then you try to play a song and then it suddenly freaks out and my wii says that it can't read the disc anymore...weird stuff. But yea, everything got here great and I'm trying to figure out the game still...because I'm sure it's a mistake...everything else was like AMAZING.

guitar hero - aerosmith (wii)

I read the reviews before buying this game, so I was prepared for a poor song list. The game play is similar to Guitar Hero III, however about 1/2 the songs are Aerosmith. I was able to sit down and play through the entire game in just a few hours. It was fun, but not very challenging. The biggest let down is the song list. They are missing so many great Aerosmith songs, and they included too many obscure songs. I am definitely glad I got the game on sale, and would recommend waiting for a sale before buying this game.Read full review...

GH-Aerosmith - adding to the collection

The Guitar Hero Aerosmith Wii game provided an excellent addition to the songs I enjoy while playing GH. The game is based on the GH3 foundation and does not provide any of the advanced features of GH World Tour. But it's still great.
Also enjoyed the "guest" songs by several other groups. Not many Aerosmith songs are included in the GH Smash Hits, so this is the best way to add them to you GH collection.Read full review...
