A classic for a reason

It's been years since I've seen it, but the day I got it in the mail I watched it right away and remembered why I loved it in the first place. A musical is not just about the music, or the dancing, or the script, or the acting... it's everything with "chemistry" and "flair"! A good musical is entertainment exponential, and Guys and Dolls delivers as only the classics can. We don't need the story to be raw to be real, we need the story to sweep us away so much that we could almost believe this bizarre musical world is real all by itself, if only for a time. Superb dancing, great character delivery, engaging script, catchy music, reasons to root for the characters and enjoy them without qualm... back when they gave us musicals with an actual plot, remember those? A classic must see for anyone who enjoys corny musical

Who wouldn't like watching a self absorbed Marlon Brando and rest of the ensemble entertain with bygone lingo and arousing song and dance.
My teens and I love this movie.
Makes a great gift to anyone interested in theatre.

Sky Materson(Brando) to his sorry excuse for a gambler friend Nathan Detroit(Sinatra):

One of the classics

Guys and Dolls is one of my all-time favorite movies! The music and dancing is great and Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando are at their best in this movie. Just love it! Old-fashioned fun!
