Nice Printer, Ink is expensive!

Replacement for a printer that was broken. Have had the same model printer for several years and it has always done a good job. My only complaint would be how expensive the ink is to replace.

The worst HP printer experience.

Printer is not able to set up with Win 10 pro. Printer is not able to set up with UBUNTU. Plain print isnt that great. Color print is lousy.

Bigger brother of HP 7760 well worth the money.

I've upgraded from HP 7760 printer to this HP 7960 mainly because both of this printers use the same ink cartridges.
The cartridges HP 57 color & 56, 58, 59 are extremely easy to refill yourself. As most of you know ink cartridges are more expensive than printer itself, so since I have few NEW cartridges on hand - unused I decided to buy HP 7960 printer.
I bought it for $10 and I'm amazed at the print quality. My previous HP 7760 which I bought for $10 served me well for 6 years and had over 5000 pages count. However, cartridge cradle got stuck and while trying to fix it, I messed it up.

The only complain I have about it, that its not ALL IN ONE. It doesn't scan, copy, fax etc. However, I knew and saw what I was buying, therefor it is not really a complaint. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.Read full review...

HP Photosmart 7960 Inkjet Printer

Bought the printer to replace the exact model which no longer worked. The printer prints any type of documents and photos. It has 2 photo printer cartridges. The reproductions are excellent and the paper sensor automatically sets itself for the type of paper used. It uses 2 standard cartridges (black, color). The photo cartridge may or may not be used depending on what is to be printed. For black and white photos and certain color photos, the photo black/gray cartridge may be used in place of the black. The prints are clear and sharp. The back-to-back attachment, which came off of another earlier printer fits on the 7960 and allows 2 sided paper print.Read full review...

great value..

I've now owned two of these printers..the first one finally died because we had a power surge at the house and it wasn't plugged into a protector. So had to buy another one. I'm a professional photographer and use these for printing for my work when I don't need 8-color for my prints..saves on ink and still gives me results that commpare 90% with my 8-color printers. Very capable of high-quality images up to 81/2x 11 and doc printing is excellent. The only thing that is a drawback is the ink is expensive from HP and you can use refills, but the software for the HP has problems recognizing re-filled cartridges sometimes and tells you they are empty and need to be changed. It will still print with thee cartridges, but the error warnings are annoying. So it's difficult to know how much ink is left because the software isn't reading the levels correctly with refills. So just keep an extra cartridge or 3 around with this machine if doing alot of color printing. But my overall review is a Thumbs Up +++ on this overlooked printer.Read full review...
