I had a horrible experience with this particular unit.

My first impression of this particular unit since it would feed well; however, the unit eventually had trouble with the cartridge travel. It would hang up and jam. The next problem was I could not scan with this unit but this may be with the download from Support HP. For now I have been working with three deficient printers - this printer, another 4580 and 4480. I was not able to work with Squaretrade since I could not scan the receipt or whatever I have to their website.Read full review...

Good if you don't mind paying the cartridge cost...

I think this is a better than average HP printer but HP has gone out of their way to ensure that you can only use the very expensive HP cartriges, to the point of installing regular "firmware" upgrades to the printer that appear to detect and foil attempts to use reasonably priced remanufactured cartridges - at least that is what my local Cartridge World guy tells me, and has been my experience as well. The cost for 2 60 SL cartridges (black and tricolor) is $75 on the HP website right now. That's ridiculous. The printer prints well with the correct cartridge (HP) and I have one of these on the main floor which other PCs can connect wireless to - that one seems to work better with reman cartridges. But I will probably sell the other one as it is too unpredictable and try, per the cartridge people I've talked to, a Brother printer - they have simple individual cartridges and straightforward technique to see how much ink is left and Brother doesn't try to make all their money selling the cartridges... So...when installing, if you have a choice about installing firmware updates (as tempting as it may be) say "NO!" Once you say 'yes' the damage is done from what I can tell.Read full review...

I will highly recommend this printer to all my family and friends!

I have owned many printers both laser and deskjet in just about all price ranges and this is definetly one of the best. Prints beautiful pictures, wireless set up wasn't bad at all and while it's a quality printer it's small in size which is a Big Plus for us. Can't say enough good things about this printer and also the Ebay seller. Great product for the price

All in all this is a really good printer. I did have a problem installing the software from hp on my netbook since you cant use the provided sofware cd on a mini but when installed with the cd on my primary computer it worked fine . The wireless feature is a plus so you can print from anywhere in your home off your laptop. I was also satisfied with the print qaulity.Read full review...

Printer came exactly as stated. I had no problem installing (and that really something for me!) So Far so good! I love it! Simple to install, small, easy to use. I give it a 10!

Awsome printer, easy to install! Makes great copies! Got the best deal on eBay! Makes copies and scans. I havnt used it for scans yet but Im sure it will be easy as well.

you get your moneys worth

The printer works great. It was so easy to install. I was printing in less than 10 minutes. The color is great and the quality is great. I would definitely suggest this printer to others.
