Excellent Printer for a Small Office. 5 Stars *****

The printer works wonderfully for a Small Office environment. Its easy to use and easy to load. Paper use and the Toner change easily. Speed is fast enough to keep up with needed use. Would even keep up with a small network use. I recommend you get the 1500 page optional paper tray for small office use. It comes with the standard 500 sheet paper tray; which is great for most uses. Toner is cheap on ebay but expect about $150 in the Office Supply Stores. Fairley cheap to use compared to most other printers its size.Read full review...

Disappointed with this Printer

We have to load smaller amounts of paper to be pull from the small, front input tray to be able to use the printer. It is not fully functional - meaning you cannot use the large main printer tray on the bottom of the machine because it eats the paper and jams.

I actually ordered this printer because the one we already have started doing this same thing. Unfortunately I now have 2 of these prints with the same issue.

Love the Laserjet 4200n printer

This printer is the third HP i have owned. i first had a laserjet 4 which lasted for a very long time. then we purchased a laserjet 2200dn to replace it but did not keep for long as i resold it to my office which was looking for a new printer i then got a Oki c3200n for color laser printing which worked ok but was not great as it was expensive to use. The laserjet 4200 replaced it and it is by far the best i ever owned. it is very fast and toner last for ever in this (about 10,000 pages!) i am also lookin into geting the stapler/staker attchment for it soon to print larger document for some business i do on the side at home. overall HP is the Best at laserprinters, and they will last you a long time. if you dont like HP check out LEXMARK laser printers, i use alot of these at work(i am a IT Admin) and we have very little problelms with them ever.Read full review...

The second-best 4000 Series HP LaserJet...

I bought it from a fellow on eBay in 2008 and except for needing a $19 transfer roller replacement (jammed pages got toner all over the transfer roller, albeit small specks in scattered places, none of which is the seller's fault) has been a rock solid reliable printer despite my own ineptitude. I have done some really inept things with this printer. But it has withstood it all for going on three years. It's every bit as good as my HP LaserJet 4000N I also bought on eBay.

I bought it because several places I went to often at the time had similar units, and I wanted that presence in my house.

I love almost everything about it, save a tendency for jammed pages to get toner on the transfer roller. And a really minor complaint about too easy yellowing.

It WORKS when I need it!

I purchased this printer to replace my relatively new inkjet printer and couldn’t be happier. To put it simply this printer works, I plugged it into my router and within 15 minutes had it installed and working on 2 laptops and 2 desktops. The toner won’t dry out or give me the problems I was having with ink. If you’re tired of constantly replacing ink cartages I highly recommend considering this machine.Read full review...
