I have a laptop without a cd port and I was able to easily set up the printer to the wifi by downloading the software online (as instructed by the printer) the item cane very quickly and is of great value! Easy set up
My old hp printer suddenly stopped working and I REALLY needed a new printer fast. It arrived as promised, in 4 days. I'm not very tech savvy, but had it running in less an hour. Pretty simple. I like the 2 sided printing and had no problem printing off the internet. I didn't really need an Officejet, but liked the features. I'm happy with it. Fire all of your technicians not dedicated to the support and sale of HP products
I could not setup the printer because every time it got to the point of downloading and installing the drivers, the setup would fail. I called Customer Service twice. Both times the technicians (a different technician for each call) told me that it was impossible to install the printer as long as I had (1) Malwarebytes protection installed (a program that I have used for years and never had any problem with) (2) any third party software on my computer (every computer in the world uses some third party software). I asked them very courteously why they would treat me this way and at that they hung up on me. I will soon return this printer soon. Read full review...

Too early to tell
It’s a little early to give a good review. I’ve only printed 6 pages so far. This printer was easy to set up. I haven’t included my phone so far for wireless printing. Don’t know how to print more than one photo on a page. I’ll have to find instructions somewhere. So far it works with my laptop . Read full review...
Great home/small office printer!
Overall this is great home/small office printer. After installing software, setup was quick & easy.Without another printer to do a side-by-side comparison, hard to say how good the print quality is - but from what I've printed so far, I have to believe it's more than adequate for all but the most demanding print jobs. I wanted the all-in-one functionality for those occasions when I need to copy, scan, or fax. While many people could probably get away with a model like the 5255, I like that this printer has an ethernet port as well as the ability to connect a USB drive. Enjoying the different features of the printer
I had to call HP support because the printing wasn't positioned correctly on the page, but once we got that straightened out, the printer is performing well. I like that it has a little bigger ink cartridges than some printers so that a person can print more pages before running out of ink. The new printer replaces an identical one on which the printhead went out after about 3 years of use. All in all, I am pleased with the new printer.Read full review...

Best HP printer on market!
I LOVE this printer. I had an issue with my previous printer and the cyan colored ink cartridge, after using it everyday for 3 years. Although I used 3 different cyan cartridges and cleaned the printer head AND cartridge many times, I could not get it to work.
I use the printer for both home and business. The color is clear, the pages print relatively quickly, and I've been able to print pics, brochures, business postcards, and receipts and packing slips.
While I do not use the all in one HP officejet pro 6978 for fax, I like the HP app and having the ability to scan to my phone or computer, photocopy a document and the wireless printing capability! I love this printer.Read full review...
