Crooked Scans From The Document Feeder -- Otherwise OK

I bought two, and have found only one flaw, but it's serious: every scan using the document feeder is crooked, and each is crooked the exact same amount.

Every time I buy one of these machines I have to send it back, so why can't they be built correctly at the factory the first time? Why must I post the issue on the HP help forum, wait for an HP Rep to ask for info, and then have that Rep tell me to send it back?

Also, the factory default for scanning to a memory stick was for A4-sized paper. Another thing, the price seems to have jumped up 17½% now that back-to-school buying has started. Harrumph!

Overall, a decent All-In-One for the price, just don't use the document feeder.

Easy as pie!

I said yes, it is easy to set up...but it almost set itself up, it was that easy. You have controls on the printer window to touch, but they aren't needed if you use the HP Smart App on any device. I do all the control from my laptop, but for the most part I leave it alone to do its thing.Read full review...

Ink supplied does not work

Only one of the four ink cartridges that came with the printer works. I haven't been able to get through setup w/o getting past this point. I had to order cartridges from HP to see if they will work. I'll revisit my review about the print quality when I can get to use the printer.Read full review...

good quality print, but slower response than my old printer

I had a friend set it up for me, so I can't say if it was easy or not.

This is a workhorse.

This is my 2nd one and I am very happy to be able to purchase another new one after the first one developed a problem with the print module which cannot be replaced unless one can be found. At least I get to use the old print cartridges in the new printer.Read full review...

HP printers

HP printers are one of the best in my opinion, this unit is replacing my last one that lasted 8 years and does everything you could ever want for a very affordable price. You also have an option to get an extended warranty for an extra fee, which I feel is worth every penny. I also own an OfficeJet Pro 8720.Read full review...

Easy to install printer!

I finally got around to hooking up my printer. It was sooo easy. I wanted manual as opposed to automatic. All I had to do was type my printer name into the printer section of the control panel. That was it. No downloads to fret over, & no pesky sales people trying to sell you something else. Read full review...

Hp printer

The HP printer arrived quickly and was easy to set up. The print quality is very good. The only problem I have is that my computer periodically can’t find the printer and I have to turn it on and off and try other things. Tthis happened with my previous Epson printer too. Maybe it will recognize my printer after a while. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks.Read full review...

Great Printer, Short Life Expectancy, Expensive Ink Cartridges

It replaced an identical model that began to malfunction. The older unit's print head went bad. The new one works just fine and functions as expected. Note that with HP Printers, the ink cartridges are VERY expensive and there is absolutely no technical support available except information on website. I purchased the same model because I had over $120 of unused ink cartridges. The old unit lasted 3 years, which is a poor lifetime expectancy in my opinion when it only was used sporadically.
