Great for Multimedia, but keep a charger handy!

What I like: Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064, Adreno 320 GPU, 2048 MB RAM (Dual-channel, 533 MHz) / DDR2, 5.0 inch 1080p display.

What I don't like: Battery too small (2020 mAH), Internal storage too small (16gb), No option for SD card, Battery is not removable.

I am happy with the purchase but I wish the phone offered more storage. I also wish the battery was removable. I use my phone primarily for data and purchased this phone for that reason. IMO the positives outweigh the negatives. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Great phone, but w/significant feature and capability limitations/problems.

PROS: I was excited to get a phone with full HD screen and wireless recharging. It has been great, simply placing the phone on a pad whenever I needed a charge--that made the relatively small battery for such a large screen a non-issue. Camera and most all apps worked nicely.
CONS: Lack of SD card forced me to be very careful with memory use. Also, a lot of us ran into SIM card issues that were eventually resolved by swapping Verizon for a refurbished phone. The latest software update from HTC is a big disappointment, with the lock screen, phone and various operations being significantly harder to use, and we are stuck with it--no option to refuse it or back it off. Now (6 months before contract end), I am running into a situation where the camera can not be started, and various apps simply will not run. I need to buy a replacement at full price.

Still best on the market, even after Galaxy S4, Sony Z1, and HTC ONE !!!!!!

I used this phone for almost a year, and now I switched on newer HTC ONE. I will go back. When people complaining on 5" screen that is stupid. You should go in the store and try phone before purchase, I like 5" phone and since this was first full HD screen on the phone when arrived on the market, I was very happy with it. Screen is 5 stars. Great colors, sharp, good outside!! on the strong sunlight! For me most important thing on the phone is music because that is 90% of the time I'm using it, and this phone rocks! Beats audio makes big sense, yes it may be just a algorithm and not a hardware thing, but as a music producer I know really well that software synths are exactly that, good algorithms. And some of them are $999, so I couldn't care less what's behind, sound with any headphones is much better, especially if you love modern electronic production. Design is still best on the market, HTC one looks funny compared to this one. I don't like metal phones, I like phone with metals on it, but if plastic is good, I like plastic better. Samsung is so bad that I sold Note 2 and Galaxy S3 just because I couldn't look at that plastiky housing. One of the best things on the phone is power button position, right in the middle of the top of the phone. So, there is no chance not to find power button, even blind person could find it in second. Battery is right on the spot, if you leave phone in a good reception room, it can last for 3 days. If you use it with full brightness display, WiFi, 4GLTE on, and all other stuff, battery will last few hours, totally normal for all phones. if you want longer lasting battery, get a Bluetooth headset, this will spare your battery life for 30%, especially if you're listening to the music alot like I do. Is this the newest phone model for 2013? Maybe not, but it will beat the phones that will come on the market in 2015, you'll see. Nothing new will happen in this industry, 5" is standard and newer phones will just be lighter, camera with more pixels, stronger CPU, if you don't care for that - grab this hottie! All hardware that this phone has is enough for even tech guy, but for average person this will be 2 years phone with no problem.Read full review...

Not worth, Quad + big screen vs short lifespan, bad conveyance,no KB, no SD

NOT SO AWESOME.
What I can tell you is that it was a big expectation before I got it and it quickly became a letdown on the first day!
Pros:
Nice highres screen w/ Gorrilla(Not dragonfly) Glass, and good response with about 2GB RAM. If you run 4G the response is better for the net. Plays N64 ok at frameskip 3 with few graphical glitches.
Cons:
The battery is just ridiculously short! What is even worse is that you can NOT replace it! There is no SD card slot either so you stick with 11 GB (yes the rest is bloatware) FOREVER.... In case you did not hear me...11GB=Forever.

Moving from the Milestone 1 to the third(Sweet series btw!) to the HTC I became VERY DISSAPOINT. One thing that bothers me is that the interface does not have the Conveyance of the Droid 3. You have to turn around and go back and forth to get to some things in the DNA. Sliding the menu sideways does not make the background wallpaper slide. On one occasion a live wallpaper did manage to slide (VERY little).
Gameplay: Games play smoothly but expect the icons to turn really tiny because of the resolution. This can become tedious when there are no settings to make the icons larger. Other games like GBA or N64 feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable to play because it lacks a QWERTY keyboard. The phone will get really warm and battery life is just becoming a deal breaker here.
What is the point of having a big screen if it wont even last for more than a day? I would be much more satisfied if the company stuck a 3400mah battery(because they totally should have) with an SD card slot(because they totally don't seem to be doing it). I wouldn't mind the phone being twice as thick (would be still thin) and lasting alot more! Like it should!
Maybe the DNA 2 will come up with this..?

In the end, No. Don't get this phone unless you are getting it really cheap.

Almost Perfect...

The ultimate media consumption device on Verizon for now...

This phone is a conbination of good looks an amazing specs. Lets not go into the specs because for this high-end device it is simply fast. You can go into a million sites to get specs. You are here to get real world experience for this device that you are thinking of buying on ebay.

Lets break it down to the pros and cons:

Pros - Fast computing, feels great in the hands, amazing 1080p screen, and great build materials, 5' display, and Sense is a great an friendly Operating System. You simply find yourself mesmerized by the beauty of this display at times. Total boss when you are at the bar and roll it out during a call. ;)

Cons - 5' may be too big. I knew what I was getting myself into when I bought this phone. I was/am an avid smartphone user that believe the sweetspot for smartphones is 4.3 - 4.8 inches. I debated wether 5' would be too much. I dont have any regrets in buying the phone but I have to say that Im reminded everyday on how big this phone is. It fits in my pockets but when I sit down it's a different story and the phone is thin! The only other con is the battery life. Wow, it is average Android battery life at best. If you are a medium to low smartphone user then you should make it the entire day. However, if you are high smartphone user then expect to charge this phone twice a day no joke here.

**Note: if you are still planning on, and used to the typical Android poor battery life, getting this device I recommend setting aside some extra cash to buy wireless chargers. I say this because this phone comes with an annoying usb flimsy flap. Also, I didnt place camera results in either Pros and Cons because it is simply OK. It gets the job done. Its not poor by any means but its not the best either.

In summary, if you are used to the typical android poor battery life and can stand a 5' device then this is the device for you. If you have doubts about being able to handle such a device then look elsewhere. I say this because this phone will remind you everyday how big it is. Dont get me wrong it is an excellent web browing, youtube, and movie watching experience. So if that's what you are looking for, and dont mind poor battery life, and you're with Verizon then this is the phone for you!

I hope I have made you decision a little easier!

Amazing phone, almost perfect.

This phone is simply amazing.

===========PROS============
It has super specs. This phone is fast with plenty of memory to handle any game. The screen is beautiful and feels great. However, I bought a screen protector so I won't be touching it ever.

The sound is great. I don't know what a difference Beats Audio makes. I think it's just a gimmick. But the phone is loud on speaker.

The camera is amazing. It's better than most point-and-shoot cameras. It takes photos as soon as you click the shutter!

The battery life is amazing for a smart phone. It has a 2000 mAh battery which will last you a good full day on moderate use. I only wish the battery was interchangeable.

===========CONS============
I only have a few tiny complaints. There is no expandable memory. I have never used more than 16 GB anyway. Besides, you can get an OTG (on the go) cable to connect flash memory through the USB port.

The battery is not replaceable. I like to buy bigger batteries so the charges last longer. It's not that big of a deal, as at work I pretty much always have access to a charger. And in the car I have a charger too. I just would like it for extended fun time sessions.

The buttons are a little hard to press, especially the power button. They are flush to the edge and you really have to press deep to press them. I got a Ballistic case that has rubber buttons and they are extremely easy to press now, so that problem is defeated.

The phone only has 3 user buttons. I am used to 4 with a "Back", "Home", "Menu", and "Recent Apps". This phone is missing the context sensitive "Menu" button. Not a big problem, as I got a custom ROM and it is back in now. (Shouldn't have to have a ROM to do it)

The camera feels a little backwards. There is only 1 button on screen, which is the menu button. You open it to adjust all the settings. Even something as simple as flash. Most phones usually have the most popular 3 or 4 options on screen. This has none. Again, this was fixed with my custom ROM, but I shouldn't have to install a ROM to do this basic function!

===========OVERALL============
The phone is near perfect. The small flaws don't bring it down at all. I installed a custom ROM, and now the phone does everything I need. I didn't give it all 5 stars as the phone shouldn't make you do this to achieve greatness. For the average user who will use the phone as-is when it comes from the box, this is still an excellent choice.

Outstanding phone at a great value. Works great on all networks!

Everything about this is phone is amazing in terms of usability. For often less than $125, you can get an amazingly designed phone with a beautiful HD screen. Though the phone is a bit older, the performance is still perfectly smooth and you really couldn't tell the difference between it and a brand new HTC phone. The only downside, which, as has been mentioned many times before, is battery life. The 2020 MAh battery is small for a screen this size and resolution, but honestly, if you disable some unnecessary features like Fast Boot and Auto screen brightness (the phone is really bright enough around 30% brightness, if you go over you're just wasting battery for no reason), the battery life is decent. I get about 7-8 hours on a charge. Honestly though, if battery life isn't an issue or you would be interested in an extended battery case, this phone is an EPIC value for the money. It's like a brand new, modern phone for the price of a cheap, low-quality phone that's brand new. Also, for those who are wondering, the phone DOES work excellently on a T-Mobile sim card on HSPA 4G. All it requires is a simple input of the proper settings and you're good to go. This phone is an amazing choice for anyone looking for an amazing value, regardless of what network you're on.Read full review...
