I had an HTC EVO shift that was showing its age so I upgraded to this phone. It is easy to navigate, a better size, and familiar enough that I was able to use it without studying a manual. Not that great

Unimpressive at best. Slow to get moving. Spotty connections for wifi and with the wifi turned off it is difficult to use my mobile data plan. Built in HTC everything seems to eat up a lot of the space on the phone and no way to disable most of it. Since I don't use many of the preloaded programs many of them are a waste of space, but even after I uninstall all the updates or disable these programs, the phone still updates them and returns them to active... Actually, spend the very little extra money and by anything else. Even the M9 would be a better option. This phone is horribly slow, loaded down with un-needed apps and it just kind of doesn't sound all that well either. It has this weird built in "beats" type system that sounds about as good as my AM radio. Nothing special. Skip this one if you want a quality well working phone.Read full review...

I had loved the HCT ONE m7. But, the HTC ONE m8 is the most awesome smartphone I have ever owned. It is like the m7 on steroids! The m8 speakers put out a lot more volumn than the m7. The pictures are amazing. I love to press & hold the shutter button when a cyclist is heading towards me during a race. There are amazing action shots to choose from. Every phone out there should wish to grow up to be one like this, that own's a case that is as creatively made the way the dotted case was made for this one. The functionality, while the case is closed is bedazzling. The phone calls can be done with the case closed & phone completely protected in the plastic shell. The person at the other end of the line has no problem hearing you & the calls sound amazing at this end. Games are terrific on this phone. I can harly get inside the door before all 4 grand-kids via for the chance to be the 1st one to shout out, "Mimi, can I play on your phone?" The internet browser is super fast. I love to switch my actions all the time. I'll be watching youtube one second & looking up something on wikipedia about it the next. This is the perfect phone for a 'channel surfer'. I can't restrict myself to watch just one tv channel, or listen to just one radio station. With this phone, I still have no restriction. I haven't even updated to the new Lollipop 5.0 yet. I have read of all the amazing things that it can do. Overall, this phone has supburg functionality. There is plenty of internal storage space. It can hold well over 1,000 pictures/videos, music, games, & still has plenty of room to spare. Yet, you can even add a chip for more memory if you have the need. I would recommend this phone to every relative, every friend, every stranger that would care to hear an honest opinion. There is not a negative thing I could find about this phone. I can only hope that whenever the time comes that I have to get a replacement phone, that HTC can be as creative again, as I don't see how they can beat such perfection.Read full review...

BEST phone I have EVER owned bar none.

I had the original HTC one with the Beats audio in red, and I loved that phone until its demise from the 2nd floor balcony...I went with Apple for about 2 months, and missed my HTC sorely, so I came across the M8 Hardon Kadon model and am SO happy to be back with HTC and Android...sorry Apple fans...the M8 is an amazing phone, love its size, its features, so easy to hold, I cannot think of anything negative..I was going to complain about the lockscreen, but I learned how to change it so I have no complaints at all....Im also glad I got it on Ebay because I didnt have to sign a 2 year agreement with Sprint and I saved $$$...big bucks...

Great Phone - Terrible Battery Life

Battery "dies" with anywhere from 15% to 25% "life" left. As soon as you plug charger in it starts working again, but with the same false reading. Battery is removable, technically, but you have to be a brain surgeon just get the phone apart and put back together. HORRIBLE design!Read full review...

HTC ONE m8

I did not release that getting a unlocked phone doesn't mean certain things won't work. Like wifi hotspot and mobile date. The mobile data part was easy to fix just put in APN network id for bell and worked. The wifi hotspot was hard had to root phone then add rom for HTC phone untouched on and worked. The only problem with this is that I can't do system updates on my phone now.

Also my phone usb connection is a little finicky but I suspect that is just dependent on the phone. Anyway works good and now that I have wifi hotspot I can't complain.Read full review...

Started having mechanical problem not long after I got it

Got this phone and a couple of weeks after receiving it I noticed it was not charging properly. I let them know and also let them know I had insurance on phone. They told me I could send it back if I wanted. Hoping it would get better and really not wanting to unload my phone and be without it, I waited thinking I could use my insurance instead. Unfortunately it got progressively worse so now I can hardly charge it. I recently tried to submit to my insurance but the deductible is more than I even paid for the phone!!! So here it is - malfunctioning phone from the get go. They offered to make good if I sent back which is good on their part but it really is a total inconvenience when it comes to phones that you need 24/7.
