I like it for what I need it for. Will go for something newer next time.

I believe this phone came out in 2008, so its a few years old now and a little outdated. But I bought this phone used, for around $30 from Ebay. So you can't really beat that. I like the look and feel of it, so many phones now are big rectangular things. It's a touchscreen, which is kind of annoying but it comes with this little hidden stylus, which will surely be lost soon. I don't use the stylus, which is probably why the touchscreen is annoying and hard for me to use.. it's not really meant for fingers, it's meant for the stylus. The battery doesn't last long, perhaps because the battery is 4 years old. Plus, maybe because this phone is constantly trying to connect itself to some kind of data communications? I'm not sure what that is, but it's always coming up as a notification on the screen. I'm sure this phone is capable of all sorts of things that I'm not aware of. I talk, and text. And take pictures. All pretty easy to do on this phone. Typing out a text is difficult because the screen is so small, making the "buttons" small on the screenn. Should probably use the stylus for that. There is an option to thread the texts, which shows them as a conversation. I like that. I like that appointments and calendar entries show up right on the homescreen. I really like the homescreen, actually. Everything is right there. I'm sure this is similar to newer HTC phones, however. Like I said, this phone is now a little dated. If you are looking for an inexpensive, stylish little phone, buy this used. Buying this new is still pretty expensive.. for the same money you could get an actual "new" phone, more updated.Read full review...

I hated it when I first got it (for only 10$), but the little guy grew on me.

I got this and a few others, because they were old enough that you didn't need a data plan. At first the on screen keyboards were annoying, but I got used to both of them, you can learn to use the full keyboard with your thumb nails with practice. Love the size, feel and shape. I ended up getting a cheap data plan to try them out. It surfs pretty well, can't stream videos, will download and play some formats though. Looks like a mini, Windows Xp, PC and it displays wallpapers with reasonable detail. Most of these have cracks at key stress points on case, clean well with alcohol and use white nail polish to patch. If you like apps, this will be frustrating for you, do to lack of availability. The standard htc battery is weak, I got an extended battery on eBay, I would extended is essential. Lastly, Verizon will argue and act confused, when you tell them you don't want data.Read full review...

More for professionals

I got the phone and loved the size and weight of it. The key feature I enjoyed was that you could write your text messages and searches for the web. I didnt like the way the web worked as far as surfing goes. It seemed to be difficult and wouldnt allow me to get the search I was looking for. I got really irritated when it wouldnt allow me to set up my existing emails to the email tab, which in turn I would have to use the browser to get to my email. Its more professional than entertainment I felt bored fast with the phone. Htc seemed more like a computer than a phone. I would recommend this phone to a person who needs a phone strictly for business.Read full review...

Just as expected - no surprises & excellent service

Excellent phone!! By today's standards, the phone is an old one, but for Verizon, it has all the features of a smartphone with a good Windows interface, but no mandatory data fees. It will access internet servers, but can go without (as I do) with the USB connection to the computer for synch. Great phone, great interface!!!Read full review...

very small profile phone: serves very well as a texting and calling phone

not a real robust phone for internet surfing or getting e-mail, but for what I do most each day, texting and calling with blue tooth capability, plus a nice camera and very small profile, I've had this phone almost 4 years now and loved it so much I'm getting the same one to replace it.Read full review...

Not bad, only get if necessary.

All in all, an okay intro smartphone. Touchscreen is that of a feature phone and not very easy to use. But gets the job done.

Great produce, I recommend this phone to anyone! Awesome Product!!!!

This a great fit in your pocket phone. Nothing too stylish but definitely not a "jitter bug" phone. Its sleek and great overall phone!
