Poor fit and needed extra work.

The screw holes for attaching the pipes were too small. Just a little too small. I'm guessing that they were worried about stripped threads in the soft aluminum, so they made them to be a tight fit. But they were too tight and I had to buy a tap and tap them in order for the screws to go in. There was a scratch on one sealing surface that needed smoothing. The core was larger than the original. It did squeeze into the heater box, but the extra stress on the fittings had me worried that it might be prone to leaking. Bottom line: with extra work, the repair was successful.Read full review...
