I purchased this bridge to upgrade the stock bridge on my Epiphone Allen Woody bass. This is not my first Hipshot purchase. Fit was perfect, took less than 10 minutes to install and set up. Hipshot on a Thunderbird bass

Greatly improves sound of my SG
I bought this for my Gibson SG, as the old standard bridge just wasn't "cuttin' it", and the corner popped out. This Supertone bridge is an easy switch-out/drop-in. I love this bridge. It made my Epiphone EB3 actually playable. No amount of adjusting the original 3 point bridge that came on the bass could I get the strings low enough that it didn't take a bus to push them down and they buzzed. Installation took about 10 minutes and now the bass plays like butter. Looks great too. Hipshot got it so right, not even up for debate anymore.
Bought the chrome version for my 1974 Gibson EB-3L several months back and let me tell you, it was by far the EASIEST upgrade I'll ever make on it and I'm a straight-up newbie when it comes to such things! Installation took 20 minutes and that was only because I was taking it nice and slow as a precautionary measure. Can't comment on the tonal improvements just yet as I'm still in the process of getting my bass overhauled, but the mere fact that you can adjust the individual string saddles from side-to-side was an unexpected bonus. Build quality overall is outstanding and the extra mass might even help alleviate some of that notorious "neck dive" often associated with these basses in particular. Comes with a pair of hex keys (smaller one for making the needed saddle adjustments) along with two pairs of mounting bolts (one "standard" for Gibson models, the other "metric" for Epiphones). My Hipshot bridge package did not have them labeled, but the metric ones have a slightly wider thread spacing by comparison if that helps. Bridge also looks as if it should've been on my bass all along. Whoever it was at Hipshot that redesigned it should've gotten a well-earned raise for their effort!
Word of advice: get 4 M8 stainless steel washers so you can place two in each recessed cavity on the underside where the mounting holes are. That will keep the bridge firmly locked down on the body once the bolts are properly tightened (be sure NOT to over-tighten them!). Might not need 'em if your Gibson/Epiphone bass either happens to be a more recent model or has an arched-top, but for vintage ones like mine it did turn out to be rather necessary. Best bridge for any Gibson/Epiphone bass
Exactly as described - perfectly fits holes on Epiphone Thunderbird, comes with two sets of screws (for Gibson and Epiphone). After quick installation you can finally setup your saddles individually in all directions (up/down, back/forward, sideways).

Great on a JC
I have an Epiphone Jack Casady Signature and got the bridge to replace the stock 3 point one. It was an easy, fast change out. Due to the arch top of the bass you need to put a small cushion on the bottom back of the bridge near the bolts. The little self-stick ones used on kitchen cabinets and drawers are perfect. The individual saddle height adjustment is the main reason I went for a Hipshot. That and the side to side string spacing adjustment make this bridge very flexible when doing a setup. Great bridge for Gibson basses!
If you're reading this, you likely already know that this is a far superior bridge than the stock Gibson bass bridge. I chose this over the Babicz, because it has side to side adjustment, and is significantly less expensive.
