Now I must find adapter n new battery to see if it resolves the issues

It works yet seems battery isn't good because continues to shut off constantly and missing wire adapter's to connect to TV and the adapter which would replace faulty barrey

great dvd maker

This is as good as any dvd cams out there. Awesome editing ability in the camera itself. Easy to playback and edit, easy to formate for direct play to dvd player. The option to record in higher definition is great as well, though you need the right type of disc, which is what I reccomend... fyi...

Plain and simple, read the manual and it'z great. On in a moment and once ya got those fingers learned, shooting damn good video! Caught the kats kickin'kitty kan!!

Go for it, you'll like it, I got me a tripod and it helps...learn the zoom cause it'z a little tricky, but I know you'll git it!

The charger's a gas, just plug in an' there ya go, and the battery held 180 min? wow!! I've got a bag, so it's easy to swing away on the road, but I think I'd git one if I wanted to save it from destruction....have fun, and 'B' safe...nmRead full review...

This product was in great shape, I just bought the battery and charger for it, it works fine, very nice deal for me, I could not afford it any other way. This cam works as good as any new one, and easy to figure out. Love my Camcorder and would highly recommend buying it.

I love this camcorder. I bought it because my daughter was expecting her first baby and i wanted to record the birth. It exceeded my expectations and it still is exceeding my expectations. I still have lots to read about some of the functions but i no the basics of the camera. Oh and one more think the clearity of the pictures and the videos are great. I love my purchase and would diffinitly purchase another one in the future for one of my kids.Read full review...

Hitachi

A very good camcorder, very good zoom, and very clear. I don't like that the dvds have to have a round caddy and you can't get them around here. I had to order them from Europe. The other thing I don't like is it doesn't do very good in low light. Overall I think it is a very good camcorder, just make sure you can find the right dvds.Read full review...

A Great little DVD recording camera!

This is a great camera.
Very nice zoom and is very easy to handle and use.
The only thing I don't like to much is that the video can sometimes seem choppy. But not to bad.

Shop carefully

I bought a DZ-MV550A with disc caddy. I downloaded the 186 page manual off the internet. Then I found out that I needed a Hitachi AC powersupply (NOT a compatiable) to finalize the discs. My computer, running Windows2000, did not have a driver for the camcorder, so I need the Hitachi software disk. It lacks standard output jacks, so I need the Hitachi AV/S cable, in order to view on my television. Going through the Hitachi websites, I can not find any parts or support section, or even contact, for camcorders.

Bottomline, if you can't get the whole package I can't recommend buying this.Read full review...
