Save time, Read the instructions.
This unit works fine, pay attention to the jumper plug placement instructions. I was disappointed because after moving the jumper to the second position my Rock Crawler only moved in one direction. Convinced this control was defective I tried my original controller and everything worked normal. After carefully reading it's instructions I learned the jumper is not used for my application. It's easier to read and head the instructions than change out controllers. I have a Hobbywing 1080 in a different car and like the ability to program the control, I would give the 1060 five stars if it had this function.Read full review...

Ran this on my Typhon mega that still has the 550 brushed motor. Hooked up a 5200mah 80c 3s Lipo and this ESC just SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS. Kills the battery in 3 mins. U get crazy fast speed for like 5 seconds and then it just craps outRead full review...

Mixed feelings
For the price this ESC is okay. So far i have purchased 2 and for so.e reason i both units have issues i had to work out this the reansmitter. For instance one truck i have rums faster in reverse so i had to pull the FBR plug to get it to run faster forward.

The best bang for the buck in Crawler ESCs
Lipo ready, waterproof, easy to set up, dependable, inexpensive. What’s not to like? These Hobbywing 1060s, are in most of my crawlers....8 at the moment....and run flawlessly. I couldn’t recommend them enough. I buy extras just to have them on hand when I purchase a new Crawler Kit!
Only thing worth mentioning....they come equipped with Tamiya type battery connectors. I run Dean’s, so I swap connectors immediately. You’ll have to take that into consideration when ordering. I buy Dean’s by the bag full...so it’s not even a concern for me.Read full review...

I read all the positive reviews and couldn't argue with price. This is a great little ESC. Came with standard nylon plastic Tamiya plugs. Really easy to program. The forward speed rangeģcontrol rivals a castle Sidewinder. What I mean is that it will go as slow as you want it to. Reverse is a double tap function.
