The Film is Great, Inspect whether your getting the digital rights or not

I'm so glad I own this movie now. I never thought I'd get a Scorsese film that I could actually share with my kids. Love that. In particular, I ordered this disc hoping to get the digital rights, which I did not receive. I bought it thinking I would get that, and did not. Still not happy about that. But the film is fantastic.Read full review...

I loved it = Enchanting = Paris Rail Station = and Old movies! good story!

I loved this film. I know it's received mixed reviews, but I found it enchanting.

Yes the color seems a bit too enhanced at times, but I love all things French.

I hadn't read anything when I was invited to see the film, so I had no idea what it was going to be. So it goes along very much like a children's film, but then goes into this most delightful homage to early film. And then the story really starts to make sense.

The story plays out much like a clock work puzzle and the end is what makes all the parts make sense.

I really enjoyed it. And again if you love all things French, as I do, you never get tired of spending a couple hours in France, even if it's only in a movie theater.

It is a bit strange that all the French have British accents, but that's typical of British films... even ones made by American's I guess.

This is entertainment the whole family can enjoy.

Watch it.

Cheers and Blessings, Max Rainet.

The magic world of a young boy who struggles to survive against all odds

The brilliant conception of this movie rests on the acting skills of a very young boy, who faces life all alone in this world, and has to fight the caving surroundings which he lives in. Hugo is simply amazing!, it gives you an insight into the mind of a discard child, who maintains the hope of his father's heritage, in a race against a cruel set of circumstances threatening to destroy him.
Hugo will amaze you with his heart of gold and grand determination, the giveaways are few, but he will hand unto the thinnest thread you give him to the end.
I can only say one thing about this film, "If you appreciate human courage, you'll love this movie!"

Parisian Art Deco post WWI

I do not write reviews. But that being said, directing, acting, set decoration, costumes, continuity, etc. are absolutely superb. Some actors an actresses you know and/or are
going to recognize, e.g. Ben Kingsley, Sasha Baran Cohan (sic). Other you won't know
by name, but you will recognize. Example: Ms. Krum from Harry Potter? If you have a Blu Ray, player, get the BD. If you have a DVD player, get the DVD. Last comment, this
is not just for children. Adults who put as much or more emphasis on the above factors
will appreciate this film as much or more than the kids.
