An odd Sci-fi film of a Dystopian future worth a look for serious fans

"Immortal" is a sci-fi mix of CGI and live action actors. It's not an entirely successful result as the CGI characters are mostly bland and unbelievable. On the plus side, the CGI scenery does a decent job of portraying a future world that you will recognize from films such as Blade Runner and Fifth Element (though those films look better with bigger budgets). The story is based on graphic novels by the director Enki Bilal and involves Egyptian gods, aliens, and manipulation of the body by a controlling corporation. There are rape and sex scenes which some may find distasteful.
I would recommend this film only to hard core sci-fi or anime fans. The extras on the Blu-ray include two "making of" shorts (some duplication of content) which mostly cover the CGI and disappointingly, do not involve Enki Bilal or his source material.Read full review...

Different, but watchable.

Arrived on time and in great shape. The movie, admittingly, is not for everyone. It is however a work of sci-fi that is a must-see for fans of the genre.

Awesome Science Fiction movie !

WOW! I watched it twice in a row as soon as it arrived...

I've waited years for this and didn't know it. This movie is art, history, mythology, and sci-fi come to life in one package. And it has some witty humor.

Very good sci-fi movie! I like Blu-Ray disc becouse the house movie experience is better than DVD movie. The story is exciting! But -my opion- the future will be better than present! :D

video game type plot

it is a 2004 movie think the idea was from a video game so if you like watching the cut scenes from video games this movie might be easily enjoyed by you otherwise you should probably stay clear of this movie there is no in depth back round to the plot either much like a video game isRead full review...

Don't buy this movie! The dialogue is so poor it appears to have been written by a 15 year old adolescent boy... Skip it.. I wasted my money buying this..
