I have used this type of press since 1976. This is one of the best presses I have used. I make tortillas with 1 1/2 C masa, and 1/2 C white flour. Exactly 1 1/4 C water. Let the dough rest wrapped in plastic wrap for 30 min to absorb the the water. I deep fry mine at 450 degrees F in 3" canola oil.
This particular aluminum press makes the tortilla more uniform than several cast iron presses I have used over the past 4 decades. I bought 5 more for gifts. YUM YUM!Read full review
