Not just for kids

Even though this show airs on The N (and CTV in Canada), adults can enjoy it too. The adventures of an 'Idol' style contest winner and the ways that sudden success changes her life for the better and worst...that would be a good way to sum up this show. You've got it all here: multiple love interests, a couple of different love triangles, cheating parents, and double dealing music execs. Plus, the songs are surprisingly good for a show like this. Instant Star

I always thought this show looked kind of stupid but then I actually watched a few episodes and it is such a cute show! I have to admit that I'm stuck.

It was an excellent season.

I love this show. I couldn't find it anywhere in Canada, which is kind of ironic since they film it in Canada. It was well worth every penny. I watched the whole thing in two days.
