Spice up an old PC
I have a 7 year old PC that i originally built with a Core 2 Duo processor. I wanted to speed it up a little without having to change the motherboard. This Core 2 quad processor offers 2 extra cores compared to the old Core 2 Duo, and a faster clock speed. This upgrade, together with some additional RAM, has given the PC a new lease of life. Quad Core if your Mobo can take it is an ideal upgrade from a Dual Core for old skool pcs but if your hoping to improve Windows 10 performance then you have to be a Sheep and follow the rest by upgrading your main box of tricks!
