T9xxx series CPUs drop right in to HP Dv6 laptops, with noticeable speed benefits

Works great as an upgrade to certain HP Pavilion laptops that came with Core2 Duo CPUs. Mine was a dv6-1259dx (2009), with a P7350. Aside from the mandatory total tear-down of the laptop, replacing my old CPU with this one was a breeze - one tension screw and it dropped right in!

BIOS had never been updated and the system recognized the CPU immediately and there is a noticeable speed improvement for this beater school laptop. Don't use the thermal paste!

The processor itself functions wonderfully, but the included thermal paste is utter garbage. I had several shutdowns from overheating after first installing the processor, but after opening the computer back up and changing the thermal paste to something better, the processor is running at nearly half the temperature.Read full review

The Perfect Solution For

A slow laptop ! The new operating system demand more processing power & as much memory you afford or the laptop can handle ! This is the least expense way you can do before replacing your slow old laptop ! Now of days most laptop manufactures have online videos to show you how to perform such tasks (IBM/Lenovo)(other makes you may find YouTube). Myself, I am a laptop/desktop builder and prefer IBM/Lenovo machines but, have no problems with other makes.

CPU upgrade for a DELL E6400 laptop

I wanted to give some new life to my old Dell E6400 laptop and after researching found out I could upgrade the CPU which would run 20% faster.
