Great upgrade to 10-yr old computer
I initially had a Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe that just struggled with today's media-heavy embedded webpages as well as video playback. Most websites would push the processor to 95% usage. Determined that the processor was the bottleneck of the system and researched which processors the Asus P5Q-PRO m/b would support. I picked up this C2Q for a little over 40 bucks and now the same webpages barely make the processor sweat with right about 15% usage and videos are much smoother. A small investment to give new life to a 10 year old setup!Read full review

Affordable option to update an old Core 2 Duo system
Affordable option to update an old Core 2 Duo system to be able to run (in CPU performance perspective) almost all eSports titles with the minimum of 30 fps (depending on the GPU naturally!). Easy overclock to 3.4GHz with 400 FSB with cheap CPU cooler. These puppies can usually run without any major issues (with additional cooling of course) at 4.0 Ghz with ~450 FSB (depending on your cooling solution and motherboard). Item arrived safely and pretty quickly (within one week), so issues at all!Read full review

Nice LGA775 socket upgrade
It was a nice upgrade for my old LGA775 socket. My previous CPU was Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 and the "new" one is quite faster

As Advertised
The item arrived well protected and as expected. Took me less than 15 minutes to upgrade my old computer and I couldn't be happier with the performance boost. Definitely will remember to order from here if I ever need something else.
*The CPU is installed already. Read full review

Happy Camper
Much better than I expected. Mine runs at 3.0 GHz vice 2.83. I somehow managed to get a free upgrade? Added 8 Gig of RAM, 500 Gig HD and an Radeon HD7570 video card. So, by not spending a ton of money, I have a spare PC that is very capable by most measures.Read full review

Works great. I overclocked 2,8 - 3,8GHz. Would go faster mut motherboard can't handle higher FSB.

fyi
Because this is a used processor, I would recommend cleaning pins with before installing...needed to reboot 3x then recognized fine..not unusual for a dell machine. used on a dell optiplex 760 sff, 8gb ram, 1tb main drive and 4 tb data...good machine now.Read full review

Nice
I was tasked with the challenge of turning a Dell Optiplex 760 DT into a gaming rig. After upgrading to a q9550 from an e8400, I’ll tell you it was well worth it. As my build continues, I’d like to say that this upgrade did me wonders. Thanks!Read full review
