A very powerful CPU even at this day and age.

Revived an older HP All in One with this. PC picked it up right away with latest BIOS and on my way I was. A much bigger boost over the existing i3 that was preinstalled. Added 8 GB of ram and the pc is like new! Highly recommend this CPU but I wouldn't pay the same amount I did.Read full review

Perfectly good condition on this used part, and a fair price

No problems whatsoever on this used i7-2600. The physical condition was excellent for a "take-out". Everything fired right up with zero drama on the first power-up and ever since. I especially appreciated the tube of thermal goop which flows nicely and delivers that nice microscopically thin layer that you want. The installation went flawlessly.

This chip runs PhotoShop tasks about 10% faster than the i5-2500K I took out. That is in line with the published benchmarks. However the currently available chips are now about 100% faster! With that in mind, I'm glad that this old i7 cost just a little over $100. Of course a completely current system would really zoom compared to my now slightly refreshed 6 year old PC, but then I would have to be spending a total of $1.0K instead of only $0.1K.Read full review

Even Though computer (Dell Optiplex 390) said it wouldn't take an I7, it went right to work. I ran Prime 95 for an hour to "burn-in" test the CPU, It got up to 77° C, and stabilized at that point. This CPU has worked VERY well for me.Read full review
