Definitely the Ultimate Bond Collection (Vol. 4)

If you are a James Bond fan, you can't do much better than these collections. MGM is re-releasing all 20 official James Bond movies (that's not counting Casino Royale) in 4 separate box sets. Each of the volumes contains 5 movies, each digitally remastered with a ton of extras. Now if you only want a certain movie then I suggest you either go to a store, search for that single movie on Ebay or pick out the collection that carries it. Now these collections aren't placing the movies in any particular order. You get a variety of Bonds in almost each collection. You get Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan in all 4 volumes. You get Timothy Dalton in Volumes 1 and 2. George Lazenby arrives in Volume 3. And for all those Daniel Craig fans you're left out in the cold until Casino Royale hits store shelves. Volume 4 contains Dr. No, You Only Live Twice, Moonraker, Octopussy and Tomorrow Never Dies. Now I'm not like some 007 fans, I didn't get into the character until Timothy Dalton played the role, and that's because I just knew Pierce Brosnan was going to be the next James Bond back in 1987. (What can I say, I was in the 7th grade and I was a big Remington Steele fan.) So this was a great way for me to see how the character had developed over the years. I had seen Tomorrow Never Dies prior to getting this volume. The other 4 movies I vaguely remember watching. I don't like watching movies on broadcast television because so many things are cut out due to broadcast standards. It's hard to choose which one is my favorite in this set, Dr. No, or You Only Live Twice. Seeing Ursula Andress coming out of the water as Honey Ryder, back in 1962, that was the definition of fan service. All 3 Bonds in this set, Connery, Moore and Brosnan, just redefine cool. You can see Bond using his brain and not just his brawn to get himself out of tight jams. In Tomorrow Never Dies, seeing Teri Hatcher, it's hard to believe that any Bond Girl is a Desperate Housewife. This volume is a good conclusion to an outstanding set of movies. If you're a fan of 007 or just want to get an idea of what's behind this love of James Bond, then this is a perfect starting point. Even if, to you, Sean Connery is the first and only Bond or you think that Roger Moore took 007 and made the role his own, you'll find something to like in this set. You'll be hard pressed to find a more complete collection of James Bond adventures. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Daniel Craig take 007 to the next level and beyond. watch them with a open mind....overlook the pretty girls names......

please see my review on the first set I purchased......same thing as all the James Bond films are about the same.......Money Penny, M, etc.......Daniel Craig, will end up being the best James Bond, at least in this age.....I still say you can't go wrong with buying a complete set of 4, (5) James Bond films in each set.....It's fun to watch them with your family......and they ask about "why doesn't James Bond hair blow in the wind, when he's driving a car with the top down...) oh, one thing, all the girls have these xxx rated names......one might have to explain to younger kids such as my wife...Read full review...

James Bond - the Ultimate Edition - Vol. 4

I had Volumes 1, 2, & 3 and needed it to complete my collection. Each movie is on one DVD and all the supplementery stuff is on the 2nd DVD. So you get 5 DVDs plus 5 supplementery DVDs plus, each movie has a little booklet about it; most tell about the filming, the stars, etc. Great collection; highly recommend it. There has never been a bad Bond film; the Bonds are all good;the women are pretty; the music is great; and did I mention the stories. Lots of action, magnificent scenery. It was sealed in shrink wrap. Unfortunately 2 of the movies locked up about 2/3 of the way through and never could finish them. It looked like never been used, so not sure what the issue is.

Big James Bond fan, this collection is by far the best. The digitally enhanced picture and the DTS sound are phenonminal Even though have seen them a zillion times on TV, with the new & improved picture and sound, appreciate much, much more.
