Class Hendrix
All the best bits of a trully talented icon of the birth of rock music, not to be missed all collection must have at least one Hendrix and this is as good as any.
Jimi Hendrix-Voodoo Child CD 2003.
Disc One is a compilation of Jimi's best stuff such as "Hey Joe","Purple Haze","Wind cries Mary","All along the Watchtower","Voodoo Child" etc.
This is obviously classic music,but has been done much better on previous compilations.
The second CD is given over to entirely "Live" performances of old favourites(Johnny B Goode is particually great!),but this disc would probably have been better served being a part of a definitive live 2 CD Set.
In my humble opinion this is neither a good compilation of studio material,or live material,so stick with the many great compilations out there,both studio,and live.Read full review...

It is an amazing album. I love Jimi's style and this is a perfect compilation of songs that just show of what Jimi is all about. it has all his best works but the greatest part of the album is the live CD which contains some of Jimi's greatest performances ever.Read full review...

Brilliant album for any Jimmy Hendrix fan although it's the first I've bought for a long time. Lovely mix of studio and live tracks and includes the popular 'hits' that bring back lots of memories for me. a must for any hendrix fan. enough said. i have re-bought this album for my husband as the one he has is scratched through endless listening. hendrix is a guitar god.
