Perfect fit for SST16
Purchased this for my SST16. Seat kill switch swapped over with no issues. Lines up perfectly with bracket on tractor but the rod used to hold the original seat on wasn’t long enough to secure the new seat. A trip to the hardware store I purchased a threaded rod with nylon lock nuts and washers and we were in business. This seat is much more comfortable than the one that came from factory and with the open back design water doesn’t pool on the seat when you leave it out in the rain accidentally or the sprinklers hit it. This OEM seat is often sold by John Deere dealers for over $200. I feel really fortunate to have found this seat for $145 including shipping. The install took about five minutes--seat complete with cut out for safety switch. OEM seat as described. Easy and quick to swap. Slide the springs forward to reveal the rear nuts. Remove front and rear nuts. Remove the clip on the shaft, then the shaft. Move the safety switch to the new seat. Reverse the process. Takes less than 15 minutes.Read full review...
