Mike Dooley, who works on the San Diego narcotics squad, is working on a stakeout of drug kingpin Ken Lyman, and Mike barely escapes with his life as his car is blown up by a helicopter that was sent by Lyman. Later, Mike is given a partner -- a dog named Jerry Lee. Mike doesn't like Jerry Lee, but he begins to warm up to Jerry Lee when Jerry Lee shows how helpful he can be. Mike wants to know where Lyman's next drug shipment will take place, and Jerry Lee helps Mike. In order to keep Mike from messing up the shipment, Lyman has Mike's girlfriend Tracy kidnapped. Mike and Jerry Lee find Halstead, the car dealer who delivers Lyman's shipments, and with Jerry Lee's help, Mike takes the shipment from Halstead, and drives the shipment to where Lyman is expecting the shipment, and this leads to a confrontation with Lyman. James Belushi and the dog named "Jerry Lee" make an excellent pair in this fun movie. "K-9" is a great comedy with some genuine laughs. Worth seeing.Read full review...

My dog's favorite movies

My dog is spoiled. He has to stay in my car when I run in the store, so we put in remote starter for ac and heat. I then had to keep him entertained and put in a dvd player. He loves watching these while I'm away. The only problem is I think he is having dog friends in the car while the shore!Read full review...

K-9 + ACCORDING TO JIM - 2 GREAT HITS

loved this movie. also seen k9-pi sucked. never seen the k-911, but it looked alot like k9-pi in the pre-views. thats the problem with the movie industry, if something was good they try and recreat it bigger and better. and it is never as good as the original. save your money and time see K-9 and forget about the 2 sequels.
