Good idea

The simplest ideas are the best, Ive had no bother with damage and my van is brand new, I wouldn't have tried these if they caused damage, so far I've had none just follow instructions.

Not fit for purpose.

These suckers break. They have a sticker "do not overtighten" but in my opinion that's just a ruse to blame the user when the inevitable happens.
They may stick the first time and look good, but won't last a season. They shear off at the bottom of the threaded plastic stud.
Good concept but poorly implememted with a weak point which the poor materials cannot cope with. Regard them as a consumable item and arm yourself with four times the quantity and you may make it through the season, but they will start dropping off as they fail in situ on the side of the caravan. The plastic ages badly and goes brittle so those that don't break now will be unusable next season as if they're made of a hard cheese.

Great Product

These are great for clamping the awning sides to caravan. However they are very easy to break so a light hand is required when fixing them on.

Great alternative to normal suction cups

A great alternative to normal suction cups which fall off without any hesitation.
They obviously have to be fitted to a smooth hard surface but they really do live up to their name and stick like limpets.
I have used them to secure my porch awning side walls to the side of the caravan.
They are easy to fit (but I do suggest you buy the tool to make it easier) and apply. Once fitted they stay where they should be and resist wind and human/dog interference to shift them.

Great

I read a lot of negative reviews before I bought these and was a bit apprehensive before using, but I need not have worried. The limpet system worked a treat and fixed my Kampala awning securely to the side of my caravan. Having said that if the limpet is in line with any transfer or ridge on the van it will not work. Luckily for me this was not the case.Read full review...

Good, but!!!

The limpet system works well.
I find a little bit of moisture off my tongue helps them to seat well, however do not overtighten as there is a very small difference between a good seal, and a broken limped, and they seem to break easily.Read full review...

Warning do not over tighten

These limpets do work well however they are very easy to over tighten and in turn pulls the thread out of its fixing.
As there isn’t an alternative product out there I think kampa are on to winner and therefore will be repeat selling many more.

Excellent Product

Used to secure the inside material at the rear poles of my caravan awning to the caravan. Worked a treat nice tight fit which cut down the drafts immensely.

Useless limpets

Product won’t stick to van unless it’s done up really tight and then it snaps total waste of money. This is the second set
We have bought will not be buying anymore.

Not as good as the cheaper copy without Kampa on them but apart from they’re the same an a third the price.

Not as good as the cheaper copy without Kampa on them but apart from they’re the same an a third the price. They just keep breaking when doing them up. An it’s not that I’m doing them up to tight as the others are fine. 4 out of 8 broken so far. 0 out of 12 of the cheaper one broken Read full review...
