Nearly New Orleans
Ken Colyer was one of the nearest white band of the 50s to re-create the New Orleans style. This compilation includes some of the less well known tunes such as Mahogany Hall Stomp. The rarer examples were the main reason for buying, apart from Colyer being a long lost idol of my youth.
Recording quality is obviously not studio standard. I is a live club recording.Read full review...
