I have the 6 quart Kitchenaid that came with a pyrex bowl. That does not provide the ability to make anything in a higher temperature range, so I checked out this item and hoped it would fit my machine. It fit JUST RIGHT with only a slight adjustment to the tension doo-dad on the back part of where the bowl snugs up to the machine. I immediately tried it out and made fantastic marshmallows with no worries. It fits just right and all of my connectors spin around in it just right with no wobbly rattly problems of any sort.
