I have used Kodak products (cameras and printers) since I retired. I did recently tried a HP printer and it was too expensive for ink and so slow. Since I print out newsletters for the community I live in, it is important to me to have a decent print speed. Frustrated

I have tried everything to get this printer to hook up to my computer but have not found anything that works yet. I bought ink for it and did get a test page printed and seems to work ok but will not connect to my computer. I have windows ten any help would be appreciated.Read full review...

Outstanding connectivity and a tremendous value

I decided to break away from the HP's and Epson's and go for the Kodak printer. My first impression, prior to buying it was that this printer is probably geared more towards photo printing. Being that this is an All-In-One printer, I had to evaluate all functions to be fair.

Let's begin with packing. The printer was very well packed with tape in all the right places. The printer was somewhat Weighty, and that can only be a good thing. I'm old school and when stuff has some weight to it, it's usually decent. The quick start guide was very clear and easy to follow.

The cartridge carrier was well built and solid. The upper and lower paper trays seemed average in girth. The scanning lid was nicely made as well as the access door to the guts of the unit. So far, so good. Now for the good stuff.

The control panel pops up at an angle so that if you set the printer up down low, you can easily see the controls. Very nice! The connectivity of this printer is where the magic is. You name it, it has it. Wireless, USB, Ethernet, Card Reader...Just awesome!

My setup is a cable modem and wireless router. I ran an ethernet (cat5) cable from the printer to the router. Now I'm able to print wireless from this laptop and from the desktop in the spare room. The software that comes with the printer needs to be installed on each computer that will send print jobs to the printer. The software install was cake. Simple and easy.

Print quality is impressive and fast enough for home and small office use. The top paper tray holds the photo paper and it's selectable from the print dialog window.

I had to give 4 stars because there was a paper jam. The machine might be a little quick trying to feed paper. Overall, this is a very fine printer and an excellent value.Read full review...

Nice inkjet if you get it new

Kodak will set it up for you; otherwise it's time-consuming to figure out.. My experience with other ESP 7s is that they last 2-3 years and then you throw it out. Used ones are always available, so if you are stuck with Kodak ink cartridges, buy another used one. BTW, if you need a new print head, Kodak will send you one at no cost. I don't know if other manufacturers do this, but a genuine Kodak printhead goes for around $18 on eBay.Read full review...

Awesome high quality product!! GREAT VALUE!!!

I set-up this printer as soon as it arrived and it only took a few minutes. The set-up process directions were very informative and helpful. Once I had everything up and running (mine is connected wireless)I could not believe how fast and clear this thing prints. Black letter prints are amazingly fast and clear. Color prints also are very fast compared to past printers I've had and very clear. I used it to print out some very detailed maps and I was totally amazed at how crisp and clear every detail was. Used the copier a few times also and again, not a single complaint. I haven't had a chance to use the photo printer yet but I'm sure with a name like Kodak and the quality of other Kodak products that I own or have owned in the past,I will not be disappointed. Kodak ESP 7 Wifi Printer works like a charm...

This is the 3rd Kodak printer I have owned. I buy them because of the cost of the ink cartridges compared to other brands. This is the only one I have ever purchases on Ebay. It is a WiFi printer and I can print documents or pictures from anywhere in my home without a USB cable. The print quality is excellent.
The feature most appealing to me about this one is that it is "truly" always on standby. In other words, I do not have to get up and go push a button to "turn it on" from sleep mode, previous editions you do. Also, I do print pictures on a regular basis. It is more cost efficient than taking them to a Photo Center or ordering them online.
If you have you never had a "Kodak" experience this is truly a great product. You should give it a try!Read full review...

GREAT PRINTER, GREAT PRICE!!!

Absolutely love my new printer...only thing is...I can't get it to connect my wireless network which is the main reason I chose this printer. Also I have not contacted customer service for assistance yet...so this cannot be noted as a minus against this printer. However this printer, prints PERFECTLY!!! I made a copy of something and the copy looked so much better than the original form did!!! This thing has so many features that I have not even begun on trying them all!! Should have ordered one of these printers years ago

The printer is a little noisy when starting up, like many reviews have already stated, but the printing noise itself is less than any of my previous printers by farr. The printer prints great and is plenty fast for any home use that I know of. Best of all is the ease of use and the picture quality. Oh, I almost forgot the great price and cheap ink too. Great printer and economical printing!!!! This is one of the printers that won't break your wallet!!! Thirty bucks for both color and black ink cartridges. Kodak ESP 7 Printer

I am really happy with this printer in every way. It makes beautiful prints, copies and scans. I can't commit on the ink because I haven't had to replace it yet. So Far I love it

I got tired of paying so much for ink with my HP so I thought I'd try Kodak. I love the ethernet hookup, but I'd like to be able to use ethernet and wireless at the same time. I love the paper trays so I don't have to keep switching between regular paper and 4x6 photo paper. Photos come out nice, but have a reddish tint to them. I need to adjust for that. Scanning is as simple as it can get and so is copying.
Over all, I think I still prefer the HP, but we'll see after I run through twenty cartridges. If it isn't worn out by then, I'll consider switching allegiances.Read full review...
