The animation in Kubo and the Two Strings is stunning! Stop-motion animation with digital enhancement is fantastic! A story told through the traditional music of old Japan. Great feeling of reverence to the values of ancient Japan, as told by a young boy who wants to know more about his family. Kubo's parents were magical, and their story unfolds in this movie. It is a story which sometimes may be a bit frightening for the very young, but ultimately, the good in people prevails, and we can all feel better that Kubo has found his way successfully, with the help of his ancestors, to a bright future. There is much action, some of it fighting, but all of it handled with great care. A beautiful story. One to watch many times.Read full review...
