Great Picture, user friendly remote, easy to set up

The LG 42LB5600 42" TV arrived before the scheduled delivery date. It was well packaged, easy to connect the Roku and cable box, as well as, set up the TV after reading the user manual. The quality of the picture, in the normal mode, was as good or a bit better than my new Samsung 50" which was too large for the room. Unlike the Samsung which automatically paired with my Comcast X1 remote, pairing the LG TV to my Comcast X1 remote required putting in a number of code numbers. Given the vast price difference between the two TVs, this was a minor glitch. The construction of the housing of the unit was as expected or slightly better than other TVs in this price range. The LG response time with the remote is a bit longer than the Samsung. The sound quality is good if you go to the settings and try some of the options. The default setting was not robust nor clear, but the final setting makes for a pleasant, listening experience.
