You'll never need to buy another
Got sick of buying expensive so called no stick frypans that are lucky to last 12 months. Followed all the care instructions but still useless in the end! Got a 26cm lodge a few years ago and I love it. Follow the seasoning instructions and you can't go wrong. You'll never think of buying another frypan after owning one of these. Everything as expected.
Lodge pan - can get in USA for about USD$40. Thatās about AUD$60. Add postage and the fact I didnāt have to go out and shop, itās not such a bad deal at $89.
It came as expected, a day after it was meant to but we had a public holiday so thatās forgiven.
Cast iron these days donāt come smooth so I will have to get something to polish the surface and then reseason it (lots of good videos on YouTube about how to do this).
Iāve ordered a silicone handle set from somewhere which should help when it arrives.
The pan itself is not well balanced with such a short handle but it seems to be a sacrifice to get it to fit into ovens better...perhaps? The helper handle is helpful though.
Iām looking forward to cooking lots of nice steak, bacon and omelettes on this bad boy!
