Decent choice for lefties

Being lefthanded the choice of joysticks is very limited, especially new ones. This joystick meets most of my requirements but falls short on some. There is no hat switch or built in rudder. As it is designed to be ambidexterous the buttons are located to the left and right of the base so some are not real accessable. The throttle is extremely small but works well. Performance-wise the stick is fine. A couple of minuses are that the rubber feet are located too far from the corners which causes the stick to lift up under full downward movement. I had to velcro it to a piece of glass to correct this. The other problem I've had is with the lower thumb button which over time seems to lose its spring action or stick in the down position. I am on my third stick because of this reocurring problem. Until I find a better replacement I guess I'll stick with this as they are at least inexpensive and readily available. Righties have a lot of better choices than this stick so I can't reccommend it for them.Read full review...

Excellent Choice

Newer computers don't have a game port. Nowadays you have to get a USB joystick. This one is an excellent choice. Windows XP had no problem detecting it and installing the appropriate software (it worked immediately, no reboot required). It works flawlessly with newer games AND older games (the ones from 20 years ago).Read full review...
