Honest Logitech F710 review

I love this controller. It has a great battery saving tool, it's got several different modes, it's plug and play with the pc, obviously Bluetooth, and it vibrates.

The only two cons I have with the controller is that the Bluetooth dongle needs to be line of sight. (I think this can be remedied by putting the dongle higher so no dog or person can walk in front of it). And the trigger buttons could of been better designed. It's still decently comfortable and is decent, but it could be better. I still love the controller and for the price point it's a good value.Read full review...

Doesn't Connect

This controller either doesn't connect to Windows or connects for a few seconds and then disconnects. It happens in Win 8 and 8.1 - I don't know about 7. I tried with the latest drivers and both Logitech's and MS's instructions (several times each), and with Logitech's downloaded connection-fixer software. Disappointed since Logitech usually makes solid stuff. These tests were on a new pc build on which other controllers work perfectly.Read full review...

Responsive wireless game pad

Works with windows/macosx/linux/android.

I specifically use this on my android tv box for video games. It's a nice upgrade over the older wireless logitech rumble pad 2.

Wireless reception is decent 10 feet away from the tv. However, if you are having trouble with reception, it does come with a 5 foot long usb extension cord so you can position the receiver where ever you want.

Responsiveness is great, and i haven't had the game pad lose reception with the receiver yet.

If you want a corded game pad, then get a saitek p2900. I only turn to logitech for keyboards, mice, wireless game pads.

Good product with some caveats

I am used to buying Logitech controllers now and this is one is no different. It is an "ok" joystick, but at times, it can lose contact with the receiver, even when it is plugged into a USB 3.0 slot. When it does that, it can make you move in one direction until it reestablishes contact. I guess because this controller is refurbished, it's giving me these occasional issues. I can't really complain, because as we know - you get what you paid for. But, other than that, it's as good as any of the more popular controllers on the market. If you are looking for a lower cost alternative to the common controllers, I recommend the Logitech F710.Read full review...

Good controller with one problem

This is a good controller with one major issue. If the receiver is plugged into directly into any modern computer it keeps on disconnecting, the LED on gamepad will blink with and inputs will not get registered. I guess this is because the system tries to shut off power to the receiver assuming it is not in use. There are 2 solution to it, in Windows install the Xbox 360 controller receiver driver or plug in the receiver in USB hub with extender cable.Read full review...

Lightweight but sturdy, good movement in the analog sticks

I've had no current issues with this product, though to start out the controller had issues with connection to my computer, which is apparently a common issue. However, after fiddling with it a bit I got it to work perfectly fine. All the games that allow a controller to be used are compatible and work perfectly fine. The compartment inside the controller that holds the usb connector is both useful and sturdy, unlike other little usb holder slots in other products I have used in the past. Love the fact that the analog sticks are side by side instead of diagonal across the controller like the xbox ones. Its setup is reminiscent to the older playstation controllers that I preferred.Read full review...

Sturdy and better than xbox clones!

These have sturdy buttons and sticks unlike with those cheap 360 knock-offs. It can also emulate xbox 360 controllers made for the pc. The optional software on the manufacturer's website is total garbage and not needed at all. That said, this is a very sturdy and reliable game-pad with very low latency, meaning it responds quickly for a wireless controller.

360 users: D-pad and left stick are swapped, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Overall, highly recommended.

Works great for a CNC plasma table remote control

I purchased this remote control to use on my plasma table. It works great once I got it programmed with the appropriate shortcuts. It saves me lots of steps and the bonus part of using it is I don't have to use the keys on the expensive machine control panel, preserving it and saving me the expense of replacing it in the future due to repeated use . I would definitely buy it again in the future!Read full review...

Logitech F710 so far

It works out of the bow but not without issues, So far I have tried it.

in Senua's Sacrifice and in there the left analog stick is inverted with the D Pad.
In eve: Valkyrie War zone the sensitivity is to high and needs tweeking.
In Everspace is the same ant there are dead bands in the center that neel to be increased in the game settings.

It is OK once configured but it seems so far that every game needs a little bit of setting up.

One of the best PC game controllers available

Logitech's F710 controller is well-designed and well-constructed. The grip is comfortable, the controller feels solid and the buttons respond well.
For frequent use, I would recommend getting a pair of rechargeable AA batteries and a charger to go with it.Read full review...
