Power packed and easy enough to use.

The way it was ordered, paid for, then delivered was Outstanding. The Device itself was very well designed. It fits the hand well and the buttons are easy to use. I have large hands and have had trouble with button control with other remotes. Having used a Harmony 350 for years, the transition to the Logi 665 was very easy.
The problem for me was the programming and what to expect. I did as instructed, however I cannot get Volume and Function control on the DirecTV or DVD Recorder/Player at the same time. I have worked with Tech Control and their follow up directions do not get me the desired result. To change Volume when I am in DirecTV or DVD mode I must go back to TV, change the volume then switch back to the other Device. It is inconvienant, but not that difficult when I got used to it.
I do wish it would work.

Good but Eats Batteries!

This thing uses the batteries; if you use it a lot. My other remotes would go many, many months, if not years. I can burn through a set of good AAs within a month. Certain buttons (at least for me), should be bigger and better located. The buttons light up, but are worthless. Since I use my DVR remote a LOT, I will use that alone, and save this for on/off, and switching systems, which it does very well. If you don't use it much each day, it is a very nice piece.Read full review...

Not as good as my old one.

I replaced my old Logitech Harmony 550 with this Harmony 665, so I was familiar with these remotes. The 665 does not program as easily as the 550 did. I have to use learn mode to activate many of the button features and that isn't a smooth process. I have to repeat the learn mode several times before it becomes active. It seems to incorporate the device functionality for each control function (watch TV, listen to CDs) but all the functional pieces for each mode are not operational. So, it takes some time and persistence to make this remote workRead full review...

Great product, easy to program

Super easy to set up and use. The only issue is that, like most universal remotes, it does not support streaming devices such as Roku. Not a big deal. It will easy default to the Roku and I just use the Roku device. Everything else is seamlessRead full review...

Get a logitech harmony before they disappear.

Logitech made the best universal remotes you could buy. Ive used one now for over 16 years. I could not go without one as it has become a part of my everyday life. Have had 4 different models as I have only replaced one because it got outdated or my kid broke it. The 665 model allows you to control up to 10 devices which is plenty for most people. The harmony remotes have always been easy to program and allow you to customize what function each button on the remote can do. You can also teach the harmony remote to learn commands from older device remotes that are not in logitechs database. Nowadays some devices come with remotes that can work with multiple devices after programming them but that is usually limited to only 2 or 3 devices. But for someone like me who will usually use 5 different remotes everyday, the harmony remotes are a savior.Read full review...

Getting this one as backup. Logitech is not making these anymore.

I'm running equipment that was current just before "smart TV's" came on the market. This means that my home theater integrated preamp/amp does not allow the TV to control it, so to make everything work together the Logi 665 unifies all the various elements.

I saw a review posted here 2 years ago, stating their 665 doesn't control Roku, but mine does. It may be that Logi has added Roku functionality to the programming interface since 2020, or that my Roku is newer.

Among the equipment the 665 is running: Denon preamp/amplifier, Roku, Denon DVD, Sony smart TV screen, and an Xfinity DVR/cable tuner.

Of those, the one feature I can't get the 665 to run (at least yet) is the Xfinity microphone speech interface.
I suppose I could "teach" the 665 the microphone command, but I really don't like having a live mic in my room anyway, the Smart phone is bad enough. ;-) wink wink. So I'm doing without the speech controller deal.
I've been using my original 665 for more than a year now, and like it well enough to have this newly used eBay one on hand for the inevitable day the first one konks out, then these are even harder to find and commensurately more expensive.

Why Logitech discontinued these is in my view, probably a decision made by bean-counting lawyers and not by anyone who cares about their customers. The same ones who dreamed up "New Coke."

Easy to program and easy to use.

I really like the product. I was specifically able to control my JBL sound bar with this remote, which was the main reason I purchased this item.

Great universal remote

Replaced slightly older model and it works about the same, and I was able to reload my existing setup, so it was easy. However, for some reason it reverts to setup mode at least once a day and I have to click through the setup to use it, so that is a negative. There may be a fix to that, maybe a software update will address it (probably at some point) and it does not take a lot of time to click through, but it is not correct. Besides that, I love these remotes - easy to program and use, and they control all our devices easily.Read full review...

Great product - should be better.

Great product. Buttons wear out within a year, and depending on the button(s) will either frustrate you or cause you to throw it out. The website keeps your settings and is easy to use, however it has not been updated in years. If you drop the remote you will need to reset all your equipment - which confuses some people. I have five Harmony remotes, they all have the same quality issues.Read full review...

Good, better than directv remote, But...

It really is the best digital remote for a doable price. Wish I could say the Best. 2 issues solved and it would be and Without any higher of a price. Programming - having to connect to your pc/laptop for Any changes is simply stupid.

The ok function button and Especially the MUTE button are waaaay too small. Those are immediate fixes needed now.

Any actual improvements would be to have the entire number section inside remote as a slide out like some other remotes have. That way you could make ALL buttons bigger. Being female - fingernail friendly. Yes, please and thank you. Also the back lighting other than display is waaaay too dim.

All that said, love the display area (perfect size). The feel of it overall is comfortable. Has the exact same function buttons as Directv remote, and of course plus some. No problems with it, have had now about couple months, definitely better than directv remote.
