A fun classic worth every penny

The original Luigi feature title is full of cute, funny and spooky moments that will leave you laughing and keep you engaged. It's not the longest game, but it's so much fun to replay that I think it's well worth it's nearly original retail price. I bought it for fun this Hallowe'en (2022) at a cost of $80, and I have no regrets. I wouldn't but it for any more than that, but there's no textbook on reclaiming nostalgia. Buy with some discretion. Highly recommended!!Read full review...

Great condition!

Disc was in better than expected condition. Only a few minor scratches, and it works perfectly. Great condition for a 20 year old game.

15 years later...

Though I picked this game up the day of the Gamecube launch, back in 2001, I didn't appreciate it at the time and spent little time playing it. Fifteen years later, and I regret selling my Gamecube collection. Slowly but surely, I'm trying to rebuild my collection, and this game is a must. The 3DS version rekindled my interest in the franchise, and I'm happy to now have a complete copy to enjoy with my kids. Great game!Read full review...

Classic game, great quality!

This is basically the first game I ever played in my life and I enjoyed it heavily, except when I was a kid I was dumb and sold it. I just bought it and it works great, plays great and warms my heart. Thank you again!Read full review...

A superb old game!

A great game, memorable in every way! This is the FIRST iteration in the trilogy of Luigi's Mansion games. You'll need a GameCube to play it, and a memory card. It's not a very long game, you could finish it in a couple of days; which is a great thing! Read full review...

Luigi's Mansion

Luigi's Mansion is a very enjoyable and fun game. It was one of the first games to show off the graphics capable on the Gamecube, which I always considered a be a slight up on the PS2. The game is fun and you will more than likely play it to the end. it is a short game though. I think the best part about it is exploring the mansion and each room in it. Overall if you have a Wii or Gamecube, you really need to play this one. It was one of the best if not the best launch title on the Gamecube and has a cool idea, which is to explore the mansion, suck up ghosts in a special vaccum cleaner and solve simple puzzles. If your into hardcore gaming you may be un-interested by the game but It's still fun to play.Read full review...

Finally, A LUIGI Game! WOOT!

Yes, LUIGI finally gets an appearance in his own game. Not only is this game fun to replay, but it is defiantly captures what the GameCube was designed to do and is defiantly a good starter game to get this system rolling.

This game has some amazing methods of showing off the GameCube graphics and lighting. It is very interesting how they designed the Mansion to and how it is just room based and not solely based on a first person, or big third person view.

The game play is very easy to do. If a dog can stand up on two legs and walk then a child can very easily play this game. all you need to know is use the control stick and press the button to suck ghosts. That’s It.

But, I make it sound very simple the challenges are what get you in this game. You do have to do a little thinking, but it is very logical and makers sense. You will not need a FAQ site or walkthrough site for this game (unless your really dumb in the head).

I love replaying this game. Not only can you get a new mansion (star mansion once completed) and new puzzles but it is fun trying to get every little cent to get an “A” rated mansion.

Overall, it is an excellent starter game for the GameCube and defiantly a quality game for all ages.

Easy. Maybe too easy.

The Basics:
You play Luigi in this game. You discover that you have won a mansion and discover that your brother (Mario) has been captured too. Your job is to get rid of all the ghosts and Boos in the mansion then battle the final boss - "King Boo". You do that through the use of a device that vacuums them up.

My Take:
It plays fairly easy and the hardest one to defeat it the "King Boo" at the end. Game play is done by pressing the right button and using the control stick to vaccum up the monsters. Like I said - easy.
This game is perfect for younger players who have difficulty with other games. Of course, it was designed for the younger player, but for more experienced players it becomes boring very quickly.
The game isn't bad but if you want something more challenging I would reccomend another game.
