Great Game
MLB Slugfest 2006 in a nutshell is a baseball version of NBA Jam. It's not a real life baseball simulator. Its a fun tripped out arcade style baseball game where the players play like they never could in real life. It's real easy to get the hang of the game and the controls are pretty vast so you have alot of control over things that you normally wouldn't have in a regular baseball simulator.
Now don't get me wrong there's always room for improvement but if your a baseball fan for $20 you can't go wrong with this title and if you play it with a open mind you'll enjoy it. No it doesn't have the best grafix, controls, etc. etc. etc. but thats not the point. It's a fun budget title that you'll probably play with your friends more often than a real baseball simulator.
I give a 8 out of 10 and recommend that you at least rent it if your a baseball fan and like I said for $20 you can go wrong if you wanna own it.Read full review...
MLB Slugfest 2006 Xbox
I was looking for some Baseball games for Xbox. I had Madden and EA football and wanted some baseball, my real passion sport. I got this, NCAA 2006 and MLB 2005. Of the three, this is the most fun. I played by myself and with my boys and the "on Fire" mode from NBA Jam(the best basketball game of all time) or NFL Blitz was a hoot! Charge the mound and pound the pitcher if you're beaned! Hit a homer and be "on Fire" for your second at bat and take one WAAAAAY DEEP! Lots more fun in head to head action than against the computer. A little easier to get started and learn as you play than the EA Sports games. A lot less realistic gameplay, but a lot more fun!Read full review...
Power up the fun!!
Graphics are great, game is super fun. It was easy enough for my 6 year old nephews to learn the basics, but challanging enough for the adults to enjoy. Since purchasing, 2 other family members have bought the game for their houses.Read full review...
I LOVE SLUGFEST
I love everything about Slugfest. I own everyone they have made. I heard that this is the last one they are going to make and that makes me very sad!! I guess I'll have to buy the LIVE connection so I can download the new rosters every year for this one. It will be worth it!!Read full review...
mlb slugfest 2006 for xbox
The game was in excellent condition and is great fun to play, especially beating up the players. You can unlock special characters and good graphics. There is not anything I don't like.
Doesn't work with Xbox 360 - disappointed...
The only reason we purchased this game for our son is because we were told that it would play with his Xbox 360 but it is not compatible with the system. As with most electronics, games, etc....once it's opened you can't return it. Very disappointed and hate that we wasted our money. Some regular Xbox games are compatible but this one isn't so please remember this when you're ordering or purchasing your games.Read full review...
