Kicking bug still not fixed . . .

First off, I bought this because the overall gameplay is not that bad and has been improved over the years.

Receivers now toe tap to make a catch. Quarterbacks now actually throw *to* the receiver instead of exactly where the play is drawn up to go. Previously, a Post Out Left on the left hash mark would always result in a pass 10-15 yards out of bounds. The offensive line (especially the right side) is not quite-so dumb and pass/run blocking is improved a bit.

The graphics have been beefed up, but not without fault -- it is so beefed up, the system cannot handle it and freezes up a bit during intense graphic scenes.

I bought Madden 10, and like it, except for 3 major things: the *huge* scoreboard at the top (which actually gets in the way and remains the same in 11), the Wind meter was removed and finally -- the DREADED kicking bug!

OK, so, I hear that EA is no longer updating this game as far as game mechanics go -- only roster updates. But, I was still hoping (Praying!!) they would at least fix the kicking bug to make this game playable! It is near impossible to kick a field goal from the extreme left hash mark! Even if you aim to the extreme right, it still sails waaaaay wide left! Also, the kickoffs and punts have been goofed up. The kicking game is a major part of the NFL game, regardless of how everyone makes fun of kickers. With how the kicking game is seriously bugged in this game, it makes it nearly unplayable. I have lost a few games (including a playoff game!) due to the field goal kicking bug.

In past versions (Madden 07 comes to mind), the kicking game was actually rather strong! I am not sure why they had to go and tinker with it!! OK, maybe they wanted punters and kickers to shank one once in a while -- but to happen 3 or 4 times a game!?! Geeeez!

OK, so you are only doing roster updates, fine -- but could you not at least fix bugs to make your games . . . playable? Why waste my time -- and yours?Read full review...
